Easy to go by minivan from the Krabi airport (3 -4 hours). If you haven't done bookings before (to Nakara or any hotel in Koh Lanta) and tell it to the driver he'll leave you to Saladan. Then you have to take a local driver. Nakara's cottages are nice, staff spoke english enough, three pools, breakfast buffee encluded (omelets, bacon,...

We stayed in one of the newly renovated bungalows in the beginning of November - supernice standard, clean room and bathroom, relaxing athmosphere. The place has a new hotel manager with great ambitions. The pools are very nice, the breakfast is good- the location is perfect on Long Beach - close to all the popular restaurants. Heavy waves though on...

Two resorts tied into one, this is the lesson to be learned here. Our room was basic, with luke warm water at best. Wifi was terrible, and generally the room had the feel it had been put together in a rush, paint patches and plaster dribbles everywhere. That being said the room was still fine to sleep in, and no...

This resort is very tired. The paintwork on the door of the rooms were extremely dirty. The headboard of the bed was thick with dust. Linen was clean. Of all the places in Thailand this was the most unfriendly. When laying by the pool all you could smell was drains. The beach though beautiful is far too dangerous to take...

Just few people on the beach, nice swimming, nice wheater. Good for having rest, reading book and sunbath. It is better to stay in hotel next to the Beach. Wonderful sunset. Close to eating places. It is easy to reach Lanta also by mini van for those who do not like boats.

Pool area is good, breakfast was also good. Beds were as usual in Thailand very hard but rooms were large and cleaning was ok. Restaurant was not the best but there are so many nice restaurants on long beach so it is hardly a problem. Nice staff and hotel is close to Saladan, only a few minutes by taxi.

Good location right next to the long beach. We had a nice looking bungalow that was otherwise great but bit stained and with bad shower. Scarce toast, egg & sausage -breakfast was a disappointment, but the restaurant offered some good seafood dishes in the evening.

Had a great week at Nakara Longbeach, Koh Lanta, 4-11 December 2011. Firstly, there seems to be some confusion over the name of this resort and also the links to photos on this Tripadvisor web page. If you search for Nakara Resort on Koh Lanta you will get the right place but the most recent reviews are on a page...
