We had a wonderful stay at Thaniza! The staff running this hostel were so kind, helpful and accommodating!! Firstly, they allowed us to check into our room VERY EARLY (since we had taken the night ferry over and arrived onto Koh Phangan at around 6 am)! They did our laundry for us at a VERY reasonable cost, and folded it...

Pros - The view from the room was beautiful - we could see the sea whilst lying down in bed. - Room was immaculate. Cons - Our requested double bed turned out to be to singles shoved together. - Aircon couldn't be controlled. - If you plan to eat at the hotels restaurant be prepared to wait 45-60 mins! -...

Stayed here for one night with my boyfriend on the night of the full moon. Payed £140 to be confronted with a hotel, totally out of the way, rooms were horrible - no hot water, mould in the shower, balcony doors faulty, absolutely no atmosphere. No pool or restaurant as such. They couldn't even provide us with a taxi!!! Would...

Stayed here for two nights in March whilst waiting for my boyfriend to join me for the full moon. Rooms are ok, but the restaurant and its staff are fabulous and more than make up for the somewhat soulless rooms. Coffee and water in room and safe box. Would recommend for normal days, but too expensive over the Full Moon.

Room was nice and owners seemed friendly. We stayed here for two nights then decided to move else where as the water from the tap/shower/toilet was bright yellow and we didn't really want to have a shower in it. Other than that I think the hotel is priced correctly for what your getting.

Well it's safe to say this hotel didn't appear to be anything like it did in the photos when booking!! To say I was disappointed when I arrived would be an understatement! We was giving 3 options of rooms which all suffered severely with damp so we had to choose one regardless. It was the most depressing and basic looking...

We stayed here for three nights for the full moon party. After a bad experience in Koh Samui We were getting serious cabin fever , until we arrived here. The staff were like a family and the hotel was like a home. Would highly recommend this hotel. Facilities are not that of a five star hotel but the beach front...

We stayed here a few nights. It was fantastic. Staff were friendly, management were visible in the lodge. Room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It's a few minutes to town but taxis pick you up in the front of the road for 100bat. Or you can hire a scooter. Loved it here. Thank you Jo &...

The Thaniza Beachfront "Resort" was nice and quiet, right on the beach, and only a 10 minute walk to the Full Moon Party. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The A/C was cold and the wifi worked pretty well. With all that being said, this is really just a hostel with only private rooms. The rooms are a bit...

“Try to ask for the deluxe rooms on the corner of the hotel (room 101 for instance). The balcony and view is a bit better than from the others. You can walk along the beach to Haad Rin and also along the road. If you take the road you'll walk up and downhill, whereas if you walk along the beach you don't need to.”
