I’m still here as I write this! The most beautiful, luxurious hotel! The bamboo rooms are nestled within a lush tropical garden and the pool area is incredible. Comfortable bamboo sunbeds, a beautiful seafront spot with free kayaks and paddle boards. The staff are so friendly and always welcome you. The food & drinks are amazing too. It’s about a 10-15 min walk from the centre of town. You can hear the parties on the beach at night a little but just bring earplugs. LOVE this hotel!

I needed to cancel the booking due to a sudden death in the family. The hotel were not understanding and charged for the whole stay. The other 3 hotels we had booked for this trip cancelled free of charge. I would therefore not recommend booking with this hotel as situations in life happen and they have shown no flexibility or understanding.

First and foremost I can’t thank Motto enough for her hospitality, her flexibility in our travel dates and for providing us with a wonderful holiday experience. Thank you Motto to you and the entire team - I will forever recommend you and this resort because of your exceptional service! Resort is spectacular - clean and truly beautiful Rooms are spacious and comfortable - amazing beds and pillows! Yes there is loud music from bars in the evening that I believe starts around 10pm and goes until 1-2am. I had ear plugs. Pool is so beautiful and faces the beach. We could walk everywhere. Great breakfast at hotel with many choices Monkeys close by to restaurant - super cute but not friendly…they look for an opportunity to run to the table and take your food so keep cell Phones on you. Hotel concierge meets you at the dock upon arrival and it’s about a ten minute walk to hotel Short distance. Endless restaurants on phi phi island …so many to choose from. We would stay here again! Thank you again Moto!!!

Great resort Bamboo shacks 9/10 Food 8/10 Value 8/10 Massage 10/10 Staff 8/10 Location 9/10 Grounds 10/10 Pool 9/10 Beach 8/10 Just loved our family stay. So different from your usual and far enough from the touristy area. Greeted at the Tonsai Bay and taken to our hotel. Only downside and it’s not yhe hotels fault was the music that played till 2am: the bamboo shacks seems to resonate the music! Other than that it was perfect and I’ll always stay here when I come to PP.

A ten minute walk to the ferry, but far enough from the centre to feel relaxing and secluded. Pool side/beach front bungalows are a few $ more but with the extra for views. Bungalows are quite close together and you can hear others around you, so best avoided if you have loud children or a crying baby who may disturb other guests.

We stayed here for one night as part of a 10 day trip with our family (1kids were 10 and 14) in and around Phuket. The island is lovely and well worth a trip. The hotel looks really great, and the website pictures did not disappoint. There was one main issue which would prevent us from wanting to go back, which was the reception staff. The noise in the night also meant our 14 year old didn’t sleep that well, but I can’t blame the hotel for this as the noise was from another venue on the island. Key issue: Our 10 year old daughter broke her water glass during the night. Our kids cleaned up the glass as best they could. When we went to check out we were told that there would be a 600 bhat fee (£15/$20) for the broken glasses. We don’t think guests should be charged for accidentally breaking a water glass and certainly not £15. When we complains the charge was reduced to 300 bhat (still outrageous). After 10 minutes of arguing we agreed to pay the fee rather than miss our ferry. Really poor show- Coco Beach Hotel! We will never stay with you again, and will tell everyone we meet not to visit.

We were a larger group of 8 people that booked 4 rooms at the resort. I am a returning guest to Coco Beach Resort, and I recommended the group to stay there because my first experience in 2019 was so great. Much to my dismay, this time was not so good. We arrive at the pier to be met by the porter from the resort. Apparently he was not expecting 8 people because he did not have a trolley to help with our luggage. He asked us to wait, but after a long day of travelling and it raining we decided to walk with our luggage ourselves in the rain. It is some distance to the hotel. Fair enough. However, when we arrived at reception, drenched from the rain, hot and tired, we were not met with such friendly faces by reception staff. No assistance was offered with our luggage - we even had to carry it to the room ourselves - we had elderly people in our group so I was really irritated by the hotel's lack of assistance. There was also a mix-up with our rooms. We requested two double rooms and two twin rooms but were assigned three twin and one double. When I asked the receptionist to check my booking she was so unfriendly and looked at me like I asked her to give up her firstborn child. I can deal with a mix-up as mistakes happen, but it's they way it is handled that is important to me. More issues with the hotel: 1) The pool was cold and a bit dirty/murky. Not the warm, crystal clear pool I remember from a few years ago. 2) The beach is extremely dirty in front of the hotel. While there was some effort to clean it, this was done half-heartedly and rubbish kept being washed up for our entire stay. I was really embarrassed that I recommended the hotel to the group when looking at the dirty beach every day. 3) There are disused / dilapidated buildings full of rubbish next to the hotel. Very unsightly from the restaurant and pool deck. Not the hotel's fault as I'm sure it's not their property, but it really is not a pleasant view. 4) There were barely hot water in the rooms. It was lukewarm at best and it was the same issue in all 4 our rooms. 5) The shower drainage was really bad and the bathroom flooded every time we showered. This appear to be a design flaw - it was the same in all 4 our rooms. Not pleasant to have a wet bathroom floor the whole time except after it was cleaned up by housekeeping. 6) Pool bar staff is unfriendly and does not appear to be helpful. They really don't seem happy to be there. It feels like you are asking them an unreasonable favor when you want to order a drink. Not acceptable. 7) Noise from the beach party strip across the bay will be heard every night until 2am. This did however not bother us much - we had good night's sleep every night but this will likely bother some travelers. There were however some highlights to our stay: 1) Some of the staff were stars - housekeeping was on point each day, and super friendly when you walk past them. Restaurant staff was very attentive and friendly. They should take housekeeping and restaurant staff and put them at reception and the pool bar! 2) We thought the food at the restaurant was really good and reasonably priced for a hotel 3) Breakfast is really good - a cut above most Thai hotels. Overall, the hotel needs to clean up their act. When you pay high-end prices guests will expect high value in return. Our stay was not good value.

Very rude staff, no courtesy at all, best of all there is charge in the room for everything, eg being if you break the door pay 20000 bhat, first of all why would someone break the door, if it does why would you put up the price of it in the room…they are not accommodating at all

We stayed for 9 nights and this place is awesome......forget the wingy reviews, it is one of the most unique resorts on the islands and the pool/bar is exceptional. The reception girls were super friendly and helpful and the boys at the pool bar were great. The resort feels like you are in the jungle and yes the rooms are small but very unique for thailand. If you are sensitive to party music from a mile down the beach bring ear plugs. Will def go back!

Bad experience and waste of money will bot be repeated again - room qre too small to put any suitcase - The resort is too noisy at night - the room AC was not working properly at night . I called the reception up to 11 times at 23:30 and nobody was picking up the phone. I went to reception and discovered that no single staff in the resort at night at all - I called the mobile number given to us by hotel to be in case of urgent issue but he is also not responding to multiple calls ! - staff is very unfriendly , unprofessional and uncooaperative . Specifically Mrs. Notto ( identified her self as staff manager ) was very rude and has no clue how to speak politely to hotel guests as she was shouting at my face when I asked her why no body is picking the calls at night since I have issue with AC . Still till I checked out AC still not working properly and had to sleep in the very humid whether without AC !
