Great location, silent at night but close enough to the town center and party area (5 min walk). Right on the local market, beside a minimarket and an ATM, it´s a two story building with comfortable rooms. Pros: Good aircon, balcony, clean rooms, bed size, silent area. Cons: Food smell in the hallway, no breakfast, only aircon in the room.... More

Having done some research on Phi Phi Island, I realized that most of the "resorts" or "hotels", while they offer swimming pools and breakfast included, they all had the same type of negative reviews regarding the cleanliness. I found PP Insula, and though is not beach front or doesn't have a pool, I decided to give it a shot due... More

I stayed at PP Insula with my friend while visiting Koh Phi Phi and the hotel is quite basic from my first thought but the rooms are quite stylish, very clean, good functioning air-conditioning and the bed are extremely comfortable which is a massive thing for me. The staff is very nice and polite. The hotel is nicely situated -... More

Stayed with my boyfriend in April 2014 for 1 night. Hotel was small, I agree with other reviewers - definitely in need of some tlc, very old looking and didn't feel very clean. Room was very basic considering the price (although phi phi in general is very overpriced throughout!) Our air-con only blew out cold air through half of the... More

We stayed here for two nights, the hotel is a little shabby and could do with decorating. The room is of average size with ac and a TV, the bed is hard but a plus note is that its away from bars so quiet at night. Its a good base bit very basic.

Stayed here for for 4 nights. Only complaint was the AC was useless, had to be on for hours for room to cool down. Other then that it was fine for the price on Phi Phi. Hotel seems fairly new, bathroom was modern and had a good shower. Staff were friendly, reception closes at 7 so you have a key... More

The room is quite clean and big. We stay at 2nd floor. The hostel located in the middle of phiphi. In front of the hostel there's a fried chicken(left hand side). The smell is very inviting. Overall the hostel was quite clean and the room big enough, the let down just we have to wait until 2.00pm to get our... More

Really great hotel, great location and reasonably priced! The rooms lookout onto a construction site, which is very loud early in the morning. But other than that this place was great! Would definitely stay here again!

I can't comment on location is phi phi is so small anywhere is within walking distance. Quite a gloomy hotel, not much light, staff were polite and said hello each morning but that's as far as the interaction got. There's quite a bad smell at the hotel, but I'm pretty sure that's from the rubbish tip outside. Rooms are standard,... More

We wanted a centrally located hotel for the younger members in our party while staying on Phi Phi. PP Insula is centrally situated. There are no views - you look onto a building site. The hotel is old and somewhat rundown. The rooms are run down but generally clean. Bed and bedding was clean and adequate. Bathroom was OK. There... More
