Just follow the open sewer up to the hill ( you will know it when you are there). Check into your overpriced bungalow that does not look like the pictures. Wooden walls are sloppily painted over and the paint is peeling. I booked this through airbnb and was charged an outrageous price and was told it was because some of those days were a different rate. However when talking to other guest I found out they were getting a much better rate than me. Be careful with this one. You can find way better deals all over the place!
Phuphaya Seaview Resort is good value for money! It has a lovely pool with amazing views and nice little huts/ bungalows! It isn’t too far from the main part of Phi Phi however expect a climb back up as there is a bit of a hill! The only thing I’d say is don’t choose the cheapest room because this doesn’t include A/C or a fridge which when it’s 35 degrees outside and very warm at night it is nice to be able to cool down, but apart from that a good place to stay!
It’s cheap, sure, but still not worth it. It’s a long trek from the pier, customer service is sub-par, and the what I thought was “cute cabins” are in poor condition. Bugs everywhere inside. Great view, but anywhere on the island has a great view, so I’d suggest to keep looking. I don’t recommend this place.
These bungalows have fairly good value for the price. I chose the cheapest room with no A/C. I recommend staying here if you plan on eating and renting kayaks elsewhere. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Unbeatable views from the restaurant and pool area. Each room has different views and features based on how much you pay. If your stay is short, I would recommend going for the most expensive room. Buffet breakfast is the same every day but it's free and a complete meal (eggs, toast, fried rice, fresh fruit, coffee, etc.). Kayak rentals were a complete rip-off at 700 THB for 5 hours. Go somewhere else and you can find a full day rental for 200 THB. Food and drinks from the restaurant are mediocre and over-priced. Music played at the restaurant made us want to leave but they let us plug in our own music. Shower drain clogged. The A/C in my friend's bungalow was broken.…
We booked this place mainly because of the "sea view" but the cheaper rooms, the bamboo ones don't actually have sea views. Just mosquito-infested run-down bamboo shacks. AC is extra, and not cheap. When we went to try to upgrade, it was $60 a night and get this, they wouldn't let us see the nicer rooms before paying for upgrades, saying nobody would do that on island (A lie, the next day when we changed hotels everyone let us see their rooms). Why wouldn't they show it? What are they trying to hide? Anyway, the infinity pool has a great view, though wasn't exactly clean when we were there. Breakfast lacklustre. Also very loud at night from the party scene across the bay. We booked this thinking it would be quieter since it was far away - not so. Try the other side of the peninsula, which is where we moved after. Much quieter.…
