This hotel is definitely on the decline. Didn’t have power and the front desk only let us know after we checked in and called about it. When we asked about the power outage, they said the whole island had an outage because of some accident but when we walked down the path towards the main streets during the “supposed power outage of the whole island”, all the power was working everywhere else. The bungalows also have poor insulation and the doors have cracks in the lining so all sorts of mosquitoes and bugs come in. In my opinion, you are better off anywhere else on the island because they not only have bad service, they failed to maintain it well and the hotel is so far from the Main streets compared to everywhere else. Oh and another thing - every other hotel offered free breakfast included (we know because we switched hotels immediate after seeing the place) and the bayview required a 250 baht per person each morning for breakfast in a run down common area.…
The location of the hotel is excellent with the beach just in front of the Reception area. All rooms are located where you need to walk up the steep paths to reach your rooms. Hotel ckeckin time was 2.00 PM, we reached from the Pier by LongTail boat paying 600 Bhat for 6 pax. When we reached the hotel for checkin it was already 2.45 PM and the Reception lady told that out of 2 rooms one room is ready and the other room will take another 15 minutes to prepare. When reminded after 3.00 PM for our room she said the room is now ready. It was late due to housekeeping staff preparing the room. Immediately after entering the room we found the bathroom WC flush and cistern was not working. After raising an alert at the Reception they sent one staff to check, who struggled till 4 PM but could not fix the same. Failed to understand what did the housekeeping staff do to prepare the room till 3 PM if they were not aware of the toilet flush not working... did they not clean and check the WC while preparing the room ? Later after creating much noise at the Reception the lady agreed to change the room at 4.10 PM shifting all our bags from the earlier room. The quality of tap water is not good, stale color and a weird taste so we used bottle water to wash face and hands. Room was good with attached ocean view balcony which was really breathtaking. Apart from the bathroom fiasco we found the hotel is good otherwise. The breakfast spread was good though we found the soups and eggs were cold and took time to replenish with warm food. The location, ocean view rooms, beach front makes the hotel a good stay for one or two nights. And yes, don't forget to go to the Long beach from the hotel which is a 15 minute walk along the woods.…
Location is good with only the advantage of this resort. Very poor maintenance. Urgent renovation required. Breakfast is also insufficient with few options. Front desk staff are helpful specially I can't forget Mr. Chalong. Special thanks to Mr. Chalong for his personal assistance and caring. We had been to swimming pool area. There was no person to attend. Even in the room toiletries are not provided. Only you can stay to enjoy the view and a calm place.
We stayed at the Bayview Hotel on Phi Phi Island for 2 nights at the end of July and Unfortunately I was somewhat disappointed. First can I same I am a 61 Y/O with a disability there was no one there to meet us for the transfer and after more than 15 Min help arrived but we had to walk approx 20 min around to the what was the last hotel in the row that you could get to on foot. We had already upgraded our hotel room and were given a room I think was B105 and it was on the second row of rooms but the problem was it was all up a very steep hill which we had to walk up just to get to our room. We were very lucky our bags were brought to our room for us. Finally we all made it to our rooms but we were totally exhausted and decided then that unless we could work something out we would not be leaving our room except when needed to eat. We decided to see reception and see if they could help us out somehow and after chatting to them they decided to again upgrade us free of charge which meant we were now on the first level and the rooms were almost the same. it was now only 42 steep steps to our room level. The hotel advertises they have a pool but there were no paperwork telling you about the pool or where to get towels but we finally found the pool only to see it barricaded up and look like it or the swim up bar had not been used in ages. Things that could improve the hotel are 1. A golf cart or similar vehicle to take people to there hotel rooms that are all on the side of a steep hill or even pick them up and bring them down. 2. Far more information needs to be provided about the amenities and things at the hotel. 3. I know it's a really large area of hotel but more needs to be done by the lawn staff. 4. I must also say breakfast was not the best and could be improved. 5. Finally if they want elderly people or even middle aged people to stay at there hotel they need to find away to help people up those steep hills. I am sorry to have to mention these items but it could really be a great hotel if just a few things could be done to make it more accessible.…
Super super recommended! We have been looking for the perfect place to stay in Phi Phi island for a while now, and this is it!! Bayview Resort is the perfect combination of a good price, incredible location with a private beach and beautiful clean rooms with a view. And the nicest staff. Definitely go for it
I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and had the most amazing time. Chalong was very kind, helpful and so welcoming. Pok was super helpful and always had a kind smile. The hotel had a desk where this helpful lady was very kind when I asked tonnes of questions about things to do and she helped arrange all the boat bookings, ferry, and information on kayaking. The rooms are on the side of a cliff with a great view, very peaceful and quiet.
We arrived at phi phi island and were welcome by one of bayview resorts staff. They were very nice and carried all our luggage to the resort. The hotel manager (Chalong) was very helpful and managed to change our hotel room to a bigger one and sorted everything out very quickly. We had an amazing week with a beautiful view, the hotel room was very clean and the service was amazing! The breakfast was very nice and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Covid restrictions were all taken out and no more requirements were needed, so a great opportunity to go out anytime and so much to do! The resort is quite close to Long Beach which is very beautiful and also the town is around 25mins walk with lots of local shops near by!
My friend and I were there on 8 of June till 11.Our stay was very very nice. Staff are very helpful and friendly . Room was very clean and nice . view is wanderful . Best view with amazing staff very friendly people very The resort is with a private beach Rooms are very well equipped modern style They are ready to help at any time Great hospitality, good staff, good people Most memorable time in Phi phi island
This is probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. It’s centrally located about 10 minutes walking distance from the town but in a quiet area so you can enjoy the tranquility of phi phi. You also can’t beat the beautiful views from the balcony and the price. Bed was super comfy and tv has netflix which was also a plus for a few days of relaxation after a lot of moving around. There is also a restaurant in the property and I really recommend their pad thai, had it twice! Staff was really nice, specially Chalong they will help you out with anything. If you are looking for somewhere comfortable, beautiful, and at a good price, this is it!
