The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Not sure when the photos were taken, but I'm going to guess minimum 20 years ago. After trudging up a hill with our bags, we quickly changed to hop into the pool for some much needed relief. I can't believe I saw a man jump in there! It was completely GREEN. Couldn't see a tile along the side let alone the bottom. Algae could have walked out by itself. Room - filthy. Air conditioning - more like a fan. SO many mosquitos in the room; probably coming in the doors and windows with all the cracks. Cockroaches both nights. Disgusting smell when you walk up to the 'resort' which also comes up through the bathrooms. If it wasn't for the fact we literally spent a few hours sleeping for 2 nights, we would have gone to another place. I'm sure the hostels on the island provide cleaner facilities. Really should be closed down and start all over again. Would NEVER recommend.…
This hotel is dirty and causes disease. I got conjunctivitis from swimming in the pool. The water is dirty and cloudy. In addition, it smells unpleasant. The air conditioning should not be turned on. This is completely dirty and has apparently never been cleaned. After a day we both got extreme coughs. The fridge got moldy on all seals, as well as on the shelves. Cockroaches running around in the room all the time. The hotel is also right next to a cesspool, which is why there is a foul odor to be smelled with land wind. The hotel manager is very rude and threatened to call the police when we asked her about all the negative things. We paid for 6 nights in advance and wanted to leave straight away. We didn't get the money back. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. Especially no children, adolescents and older people.…
Do not stay at this hotel, the only thing this hotel has to offer is a lovely view of the bay. The rooms are dirty crawling alive with ants and bugs, aircon doesn’t work properly the whole resort looks run down and abandoned since the 80s. The lady at reception is about as much use as a chocolate kettle, you’ll get a better response talking to a brick wall. We booked in for 2 nights only to find out on the first night the room we booked we couldn’t get so had to walk all the way to the top of the resort no one helped me and my girlfriend with our bags which we had 2 suitcases and 2 other big bags only to get to the room to find it crawling alive with bugs the shower didn’t work properly either and the lights are pointless would’ve been better off with candles. The next day when I asked to be put in the room we booked she tried putting me in another room that we hadn’t booked so I asked to look at the room first only to find out that this room was in a worse state than the first there’s better facilities in a prison cell than there was in this room as it only had a bed and a bathroom not even a mirror to help getting ready of an evening there’s bugs splattered on the wall and again ants crawling all over. We eventually got put into the room that we originally booked only to find that in that room the p*xy aircon doesn’t work when I told the lady at reception about it she said she would send someone in ten minutes an hour had past so I went back to reception livid, she then informs me that no one would be coming to fix it until 7pm what was not ideal as we would be going out at this time. Oh and I too if all this there’s not even a bar or any form refreshments at the hotel by the pool area not to mention that it is over priced for the area. This place should be shut down as I’m sure it’s in breach of human rights how this place is still open is beyond my imagination!!! If I could 0 stars I would matter of fact I would give minus 5 if you value your health and well being stay away…
Ugly, dirty, party all day and cant sleep. Dont response foto. Never again, cant sleep all night. We come with 6month baby and nobady in informatiin tell nothing. Stupid People. If you wont enjoy island, find another hotel. Fu.. of View Point hotel
This hotel is a scam, it has beautiful views of the beach- the only positive thing to the place. Bugs all over the balcony, rude staff, air con was leaking water and staff couldn’t fix it meaning the floor flooded. No WiFi in the rooms, only reception area. Room wasn’t cleaned once for the whole duration of the stay and there was a horrible smell coming from the bathroom. Had to ask for clean towels. Bed sheets were stained which begged the question- when was the place last cleaned? For price, you can get a much nicer place on the island and ultimately have a better time- wouldn’t recommend.
We had booked this hotel for four nights, but moved after one night. The place must have been very nice once with a beautiful view, magnolia trees and nice bungalows. Now it's rather run down and too close to the party at the beach. The pool was crowded with men drinking and smoking, some of them really drunk. My kids didn't want to stay. We stayed for one night feeling that we slept in the middle of the party. This was the second week of January, maybe it's different other times of the year. The staff was nice and helpful but seemed resigned.
Set a 15 minute walk from Ton Sai Pier looking onto Loh Dalem Beach, this resort is rather dated and fraying at the edges but worth a stay. Bungalows are set into the hillside within a private resort. Good sized, but shabby, bungalow had private balcony, aircon and good WiFi. The bathroom was more of a wet room - don’t look at the electrics or plumbing too closely! But the highlight is the infinity pool at the front of the resort overlooking the beach and bay. Unfortunately when I stayed it was being used by the collocated dive school each morning until around 11am. The adjacent ‘restaurant’ serves simple breakfast and simple, reasonably priced food and drinks till around 5pm. It’s a 5 minute walk to the mayhem of Ton Sai village and you don’t need to leave the resort at all to enjoy the music from the beach clubs which will keep you entertained till 4am each morning at no extra cost other than to your accumulated fatigue since arriving in Phuket. If you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge be prepared to pay in cash in full on check-in. I’ve read other reviews of this place saying it’s a hidden gem and as I’d never been to Phi Phi before they may be correct. I’d stay again for the location, privacy and that pool alone. …
Booked to stay here for 2 nights through the tour agent at the pier when we arrived at Phi Phi.Pictures looked great and price was ok,£100 for 2 nights for a sea view bungalow..but had to leave after 1 night of no sleep,it is located between 2 bars at the end of the beach, and the music is blaring till well into the early hours! And then when the music is turned off,you have to deal with all the shouting and noise of the people walking on the path which runs in front of the hotel. The facilities of the hotel are pretty basic, but the pool and views from the pool are great. If you’re on a budget and don’t mind not getting much sleep then it’s fine, but as it was my honeymoon,we were looking to relax and explore the island,it was too much for us. We checked out after 1 night and booked into another hotel on the other side of the island where it was a bit more peaceful!…
Good distance from the action that you can sleep if you want but join in easily. We were in a room at the top of the hillside it's based on. An epic climb to get to the room but worth it for the view you get! Room is very basic, bed, air con, balcony with deck chair, shower ad toilet. A little off putting that, as the cabins are on stilts, you can see the sunlight coming through the floor!! We saw a fair few lizards in our room which freaked me out initially but it was ok... Pool was a nice temperature and had lovely views over the bay. Great for sunsets. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Good location and ok value for money if you are on a budget. We had a room at the top of the hill. Great view and didn’t mind the walk. Very basic and outdated room with no soap, shampoo etc. Biggest complaint was the ac. Our room was extra hot with all the sun exposure. There was no way to keep the ac on when you leave and took 2 hours to get back to a comfortable temperature every time you come back. They would not give us an extra key for the electric and the older lady at front desk was rude about it. All the other staff were quite nice. As we wanted to be comfortable during our stay on phi phi we told them we were leaving due to the ac situation. They gave no refund. We went to coco beach and paid 4x more and it was worth every penny. If you are on a tight budget this is probably not a bad place to stay and maybe ask for a cooler room.…
