We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The rooms were cleaned regulary - the staff was very hardworking. Our view from the 5th floor overlooking Tonsei Bay was breathtaking. Breakfast - Thai and western - was plentiful and tasty, and the front reception staff were friendly and helpful. It had everything we needed for a beach vacation and we would definitely stay there again

Where do I start? The place is filthy. Rubbish in the pool and food all over the floor due to Monkeys terrorising the place. The rooms are not cleaned properly, black mould in the bathroom and surfaces are not wiped down by the cleaners. Our bedsheets had brown marks on them and when we tried getting them replaced, there is no 24hr reception to help. We then had to sleep in a filthy bed for one night. Due to this experience we didn’t go near the breakfast. This place is nothing like the pictures. The place is completely understaffed and run down. The only good thing I can say was the location and view of the harbour.

Pros: It had beds, room was very big, nice view. Cons: Where to begin.... Hotel looks tired and needs alot of money spending on it. There's a bad smell in all communal areas and items of used furniture such as mattresses propped up in hallways. The beach directly outside the hotel isn't the best, deckchairs are old and plastic is brittle many are broken. We didn't use the swimming pool after looking at the state of it, there's no obvious area to relax by the pool either. The internal lift had water leaking into it. Our room the shower was dirty and had limescale all over, we struggled to get any hot water, only had two towels provided, the sofa had a huge tear in the side, the air con unit didn't particularly work which I'm almost glad about as you could see the dirt and grime all over it. The balcony was communal and unusable due to the ammount of monkey which isn't the hotels fault to be fair. All the furniture and decor was old and showed visible signs of wear and tear throughout. The breakfast was just terrible the area is so dated there is a half filled open fish tank within the dining room which smells awful. The food selection was incredibly poor, instant coffee from a sachet was a highlight. Staff were not friendly or inviting either no one spoke when walking past. The worst hotel stay I've ever experienced. We booked for 4 nights and cut our losses leaving after 2. Dreadful place nothing like the photos.

Never imagined we would experience such RUDE behavior from the resort's reception. Checkout time is at 11 am, this was mentioned to us while checking in. We stayed there for 3 nights. So by mistake, we forgot about it on the day of check out. The landline in the room was dead from the moment of check-in. They could have simply come to our room early in the morning on the evening of the day before about it. Around 11.30 am a lady from reception came in at our room and started shouting with utmost rude behavior. She was to the extent of hitting my wife as she was standing by the door. As per her statement, she called us several times (on a dead phone by the way) to remind us about the check-out time. Another lady came in to ask us whether we will check out in the morning but no reminder from her as well. A simple reminder would have helped to avoid this horrible experience. She even threatened us to leave the room within 10 mins otherwise we need to pay a fee of 2900 baht. I really hope some higher authority from the management team learns about it and takes proper steps. I've been to Thailand over 20-25 times but never experienced such awful behavior. This ruined the whole experience of our stay. She even said that all of us Indians are lazy and we do late checkout. By luck, I met another group at the coffee club joint who were from Ahmedabad and staying in the same resort. They had the same experience and ended up paying a fine of 200 THB. Even they had to hear the "...you Indians..." statement. Not sure why she has so much grudge against Indians. So I request the higher authority to make sure the staff goes through proper training to not to bring up any Ethnicity or Culture. It's not about the money you see, a lot of Indians will be happy to throw a few bahts on their face but again we do not come from that culture. I highly recommend a day trip only and not staying there so that it doesn't ruin your vacation. If you want to stay try the "Harbour View Hotel". I spoke to them and they said if they have enough rooms available for check-in for other guests they do allow late checkouts. Our ferry was at 2.30 pm and we were traveling with a child so it could have been useful.  Now let's talk about the property in detail. Pros: NONE. Yes, you read that right. Continue reading the next lines to avoid making the same mistake as I did. Cons: 1) The resort is located at the extreme end on the left after you arrive at the Ton-sai pier. It's about a 10-12 mins walk from the pier. 2) Almost the whole island shuts down (especially the restaurants and shops next to the property) by 7 pm. But you won't read about it anywhere unless you go there. 3) The property has a big issue with monkeys. Every now and then several monkeys would come and try to open the sliding doors for food. Very risky especially if you have kids or an elderly person traveling with you. They get quite fierce sometimes. But they don't mention this on their website. Funny! 4) The bathroom was stinky as hell. When reported at the reception someone came to spray some room freshener but that didn't help as the bad smell is all around the property and they do nothing about it. 5) By 7 pm all of the front desk staff will be gone and there will be no one even if you have an emergency. So think twice before booking. Think about getting a bottle of water from your room at midnight if you need it. No way you will get it. 6) They call themselves a resort but they do not have room service. Again, it's not mentioned on their website and other booking pages. So you need to get food from outside and if you're there do it before 7 pm.  7) We booked the room with a private pool but the water was stinky and had a fishy smell. I saw a monkey pissing in the water so we didn't indulge ourselves with a swim. I even saw another person washing his sandy feet in the water before getting into his room. I pity all the people who took a plunge in the dirty water. They don't monitor or maintain the pool at all. So think twice before booking. There is nothing "private" about the pool on the 3rd floor. It's more like a public pool but it's on the 3rd floor instead of being on the ground. The pool no doubt has a nice view but unless you want to have the worst experience of your life and would like to swim in dirty & sticky water with monkey pee, go for it! 8) Their breakfast has limited options considering a "resort". For vegetarians, it's even worst. Only like a handful of options. The eggs they provide are quail eggs and not even chicken eggs. Breakfast time is from 7-10 am, we went there at 9.30 am and there was no egg left. When asked the lady staff said to come early or you don't get eggs. Seems like all the ladies over there are quite rude and forgot that they're in the service industry. Dear management if you have a little shame left please look into this before this goes out of hand and people abandon your property for good! If you book this hotel without reading the review, please book without breakfast and eat outside. It will definitely help you to save some money. 5) One more thing we were told while checking in is that their rooms are made for 2 pax. So for our child of 4.5 yrs, they will charge a fee of 150 baht for breakfast. Again, it's not mentioned anywhere. I'm telling you this is the worst property on the whole island and I request you stay away from it. Go for a property closer to the pier. It will save you a lot of pain and misery later on. 6) If you make the mistake of booking this property without reading this review make sure to check the landline if it's not working ask them to fix it immediately. Otherwise, you could end up with the same horrible experience as us. We ignored the broken phone as they didn't have room service. Please do not make the same mistake, otherwise, they might call you on the dead phone and try to extort money. I doubt if the management knows about this. They might charge you and pocket the money by themselves.  I've been all around the world but never had this kind of worst experience. Just a gentle reminder to the reception staff, please get some sense and start behaving properly to guests, especially from India. Be gentle and we will definitely do the same to you. You never know when you mess with the wrong type of people who can actually bring your actual behavior to the world and you lose business.  if you've read till here, sorry for the long lines but had to put it on the web with the hope that it might save other people from the same misery. Peace out and keep exploring!

This hotel is set in a beautiful part of the bay. We had a pool straight outside the room and amazing views across the bay. The room was large, although a bit shabby around the edges. Large bathroom and shower. Taps and shower head were a bit rusty but worked fine. Breakfast was plentiful for us, not much choice if you prefer anything but Thai options, but that didn't bother us. Staff were courteous, although not very engaging. The hotel is halal, so don't expect a bar, although there are plenty on the walk to town. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again due to the view. The place could do with a full refurbishment to bring it up to standard though.

We were staying here 2020, 2021, 2022. During pandemic room costs 1000 - 1200THB, now 2000THB with Breakfast. But it still has great value for money. Huge rooms with amazing views, close to everything but far enough from the bars. No complaints. Just perfect place for staying on PhiPhi. As for the soundproof: you can hear your neighbors from the next room but with the closed windows you don’t hear night music from the reviving bars.

The staff is not helpful and communication is a real issue. They don’t provide help with the covid procedures the government has decided on. Common areas need cleaning and maintenance. Close to no sunbeds by the pool (which itself is really nice) and the sunbeds by the beach are plastic and some broken. Room itself is great! But I wouldn’t stay here for this price.

We stayed here from 28th December to 2nd January... this hotel was not worth the premium price paid. Firstly while the view would be hard to top that is about the best thing about the hotel. The rooms are spacious but very poorly decorated showing signs of age and disrepair. The shower was nothing more than a trickle at best and there is about a tile and a half step down in to it and the the shower which we pretty much tripped over on a daily basis. As the hotel is situated on the maily Muslim side of the island it didn't have a bar, however the bar run by Kat directly outside made delicious cocktails and was very welcoming. There are supermarkets within walking distance that provided most things required and then a seven11 by the pier. There were lots of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance. The warm breakfast food at the hotel was terrible... the fried eggs were freezing cold, the pastries stale, barely any fresh fruit other than one shopped up slimey pineapple and watermelon.. the coffee was instant... No tea bags... no sweetner in place of sugar... the milk was fresh however and they had cornflakes. However when leaving a 5 star hotel after staying for a week for less than £400 to staying here for a week at almost £500 I expected alot better. I liked the pool and the closeness to the beach being just on the doorstep was brilliant. But all in all a very very dissapointing stay

The selling feature of this hotel is the amazing sea view for sure. You have a massive patio shared with other rooms. The rooms for a double bed is massive, it feels like an apartment. When you’re lucky, wild monkeys come around the hotel so don’t let your wallets, chips, phones out laying on its own or theyll grab em! I’m giving it 4 stars because the bathrooms could use some refurbishing. One room we stayed at had a broken hot water taps so just keep an eye. Otherwise free yummy breakfast included everyday and very friendly staff!

The location is good, easy to find.. just at the tip of Tonsai, you just need to walk to the left from the pier.. straight on til the end and you will see the hotel.. The beach on site is not as good as the other beaches though, but you can easily walk and explore other beaches.. We had fun seeing the monkeys at the back of the hotel, though it stinks a little but you will not smell it inside the room.. The monkeys cannot go in from the back because there's a barrier but you will have fun seeing them sometimes close to the pool area. We had a nice view of the pool and beach from the room.. The room is not soundproof though, you can hear your neighbor very loud!! Our first two nights the bathroom stinks, it is scented with urine odor.. We told the staff about it and they checked and fixed the problem.. The room is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable, we had a good sleep at the hotel.. The breakfast was not good, maybe because there were less guests, we observed the food like sausage, ham, and fried egg were not hot 🤷🏻 but overall our stay was very nice.. we are mostly out exploring the island
