View point resort does have snorkeling equipment (life vests, masks, fins) for a nominal charge. And they do have taxis you can request to and from downtown. I'm pretty sure they only have 2-3 taxis they work with-- which means they are reputable. I'd suggest having a cell phone with an international plan so you can call the front desk when you're ready to be picked up via taxi.
You can also let the taxi driver know when and where you'd like to be picked up.
