We stayed there 5 nights because we had already payed for the accomodation. We payed 900 bahts per night in "superior" (or whatever they call it) bungalow (not the wooden cheaper one). At first it looked way better than our last accomodation but we discovered a lot of cockroaches inside the bungalow, not working wifi and RUSTY water. When I...

I live in thailand and i can tell you that Freedom beach restaurant is not thai food at all.i took a massaman but it is all but massam. Nothing is cooked and it is just a microwave dish from 7/11. Moreover price is twice the normal price: 150thb for a fried rice or 50thb for a plain frice. I you...

The location is perfect if you don't want to be infused in the hectic town and the bungalow views are breathtaking. Unfortunately, the bungalow itself was terrible. I am no 5-star traveler but this "resort" gets a thumb down. There are holes in the bathroom for water to drain directly to the Earth, bed sheets were stained, the walls were...

On the ferry to Ko Tao it seems you are going to be totally overwhelmed by the hordes of backpackers. However, Freedom Beach, while it could not really be called secluded, does provide considerable respite from the crowds. We first stayed in a Seafront Bungalow which had seen better days but which was quite ok. However, there was an intermittent...

We had the concrete bungalow. It was quite spacious and airy, nice view of the beach. But unfortunately the room and the bathroom in particular wasn't very clean. The bathroom clearly needed some works (it was unfinished) and the plumbing was lacking, the water from the shower was discharged by holes in the floor. The shower and the tap were...

The view is absurdly amazing! Very lovely and a very nice beach. The bungalow is basic, no airco/tv etc. The food was 'okayish' but the service was terrible. Unfriendly staff and you were made fun of. Location was good for a lot of relaxing! They have wifi in their lobby/restaurant.

We had a sea view bungalow with air con and paid 2700 Baht. The bungalow was run down and not maintained. You don't get a top sheet - Only a bottom sheet. The views were spectacular and you have the choice of two beaches. The one behind the bungalows has trees with lots of shade. Pretty treacherous walking along concrete...

We had the Beach View Bungalow. THE GOOD: The view of Ao Chalok Ban Kao was amazing as was sitting on our balcony for sunset Changs and Padatai street food. The staff was very friendly. THE BAD: The bungalow was rundown run down. Molding falling off the wall. Spider webs in the corners. We had stained sheets (but clean smelling)...

Stayed here for 4 nights. I was in one of the more expensive bungalows as we had AC and a beachfront view. Bungalow was very basic but comfortable enough. When we opened our door in the morning we had the most amazing view or at night for sunset but this was the only amazing thing in my eyes. Staff (especially...

We called in to the restaurant here today for lunch but were sadly disappointed. The girl who greeted us was friendly and showed us to a table with a great view, but things went downhill from there. I ordered a club sandwich and my partner ordered some noodles. The sandwich arrived quickly but was pretty bad for the price -...
