i feel upset to choose stay here as room not as my expectation.it not clean ,dirty and smell bad like no people ever stay here. i m allergy to dust and can not sleep well. not recommend for solo traveler as you will not pay attention like family group. Travel alone in Thailand still weird for them.

I don’t really want to share this with you. First up: if you go there- please PICK UP YOUR RUBBISH! this is beauty that can not be replaced. This place is the best, it’s a real life Robinson Cruso adventure. The team helped us off the ferry, took care of our luggage and sent us to the reception. The lovely receptionist was friendly, understood my English and quickly organised our villa. The boys carried our 2 (20 kg bags) over to our villa. (He deserved that tip) Our Villa was exactly how the images show, rustic charm with a 5 star view. Good bed, good aircon, neat and tidy with coffee making facilities. Its not 5 star, but they are not selling it as that- they are selling this as a 5 star location and experience. Breakfast: my tip, get up early and get the freshly cooked food, it was very satisfying. I brought my own coffee satchels. Dinner: good enough I travelled with my 5 year old, we hired adults snorkels for me, but had to buy some for her. So I would recommend bringing your own for little ones. I spent 3 nights, I could have done more. This place is stunning. Yes the tourist come between 10 and 3, I did my work and people watched from my villa in those hours. A soon as it quietened down, the place was ours again. Its worth every cent- and I can not wait to go back there.

Nangyuan isn’t for everyone. You have to manage your expectations when it comes to service, food, cleanliness and privacy. But it is lovely. Apart from the natural beauty the staff are friendly, the beach villas comfortable with magnificent views And super comfortable beds, and the snorkeling is just brilliant. It has its quirks but if you go with the right attitude it’s just spectacular. Every day at around 10 about 800 other tourists arrive at this place that can barely sustain its hotel guests and staff due to the sensitive ecosystem. This is the time where you need to explore snorkeling sites on neighboring Koh Tao, get a Thai massage, escape to the little private beach area for residents under the palm trees or go diving at the best sites we have seen during our trip to Thailand (Champon Pinnacle). But when everyone leaves at 4 the island is yours again. For sunsets, climbs to the viewpoint with sundowners. We took it upon ourselves to do a thorough rock clean as the staff just can’t keep up with littering tourists. They do try as they ‘ban’ plastic bottles but then serve your milkshake with two plastic straws. Food is ok, Thai options usually better. Don’t expect a five star resort. This is a piece of heaven thanks to Sebastian, Nu, Pon, Nuk, Nathalie, Tim, Juan and all the other people who made our stay unforgettable. Don’t miss out because of the bad reviews. Unless you’re high maintenance.

Wonderful island, nice viewpoint and perfect for snorkeling, but please don't taste the restaurant. very rude and unprofessional waiters: cold dishes and cooked for hours, asked to have it hot but they pretended nothing. You ask him for explanations and they tell you that they don't have time because there are so many people. Damn money god.
