We always like to come back at Jamahkiri when we visit Thailand. The place is outstanding. It is very quiet, relaxing, the views are stunning, the accommodation extremely comfortable. The Villas are gorgeous, in a very contemporary design, stylish, and having your private pool is wonderful. The main pool is beautiful, you get magnificent views and the tropical gardens are extremely well kept. Best of all is Kuhn Nancy at Reception, always ready to help, who will do everything she can to make your stay even more unforgettable. And the shuttle driver too, always available and accommodating, always in time, great service! We love Jamahkiri and will visit again very soon! Thank you all for the wonderful and relaxing holiday!

Beware of this SCAM! We stayed at Jamahkiri for 7 nights, from November 7th -14th. We booked this resort for the dining experience, the spa and the diving, combined with a pool villa. When we arrived at the property everything was closed: - No Restaurant, so no breakfast, lunch or dinner, everything had to be ordered in and paid in cash, from restaurants that take 20mins drive to the hotel, all delivered cold and in plastic take out containers - No Bar - No common space - No Pool bar - No Spa - No Dive Center You could only stay at your villa, but not use their oh so advertised facilities. No where on their website or during the booking process is it stated that you cannot use any of the resorts facilities, It is a scam, plain and simple. We would’ve never booked Jamahkiri, if we were aware of that. For the lack of an alternative we had to stay. The manager did not offer us any reimbursement, only recognized that we are correct and they didn’t state anywhere that the facilities are all closed. In the end and to top it off we got offered 10% off the mini bar bill. Absolutely ridiculous for being defrauded into booking this. In addition everyday there were overcharges on the mini bar bill. Cleaning was very rudimentary and unsatisfactory in the villa. Whatever you do, but absolutely don’t book with these greedy, unscrupulous people!

We visited Koh Tao during Covid and stayed here for over a week in Villa 3. The location is wonderful and the view amazing. The communal pool also had great views and we enjoyed it all to ourselves and we also had a private plunge pool that was great. The rooms were of a high standard and so was the service. Nancy was always available for whatever we needed and Oban (not sure am spelling this right) who drove the shuttle was very kind. The shuttle service goes down and back at specific times and we used it frequently because one can’t rent a car on this island. Even though there was a specific drop off and pick up spot, he drove to where we needed to go. I sometimes wanted to quickly buy some fruits and he would wait for me. Overall, we highly recommend this place and would love to come back.

When we arrived we were absolutely delighted about the view and the nice room. We booked a 2 bedroom villa which has an ingredible view, a nice small plunge pool, living room, dining area with fully equipped kitchen and 2 bedrooms/bathrooms. The villa is really nicely decorated. That was what we loved there. BUT.... when we arrived we didn't feel welcomed at all. Coming from a boat ride and taxi trip not even a glas of water was offered during waiting time. People were not really friendly. Cleaning stuff even did not say hello to us when they entered the room. The Western food in the restaurant is really, really good. But the Thai food was not. Being the only guests for breakfast and dinner we expected that people take care of us. For breakfast we were not asked for a 2nd coffee etc. Never been asked if the food is ok. When we were at the pool, nobody stopped asking if everything is allright. We never have seen any responsible person during 5 days and 4 nights. The confirmed pick up at the ferry didn't work. Nobody was there. I called the hotel 6 times. Nobody picked up the phone. We paid 500 Baht for the taxi. After complaining at the hotel they reimbursed us the money. It is really a pity that the hotel has such a lousy service, because the hotel has a nice location. The snorkeling was disappointing in front of the hotel. All corals are dead there.... Beware, the hotels has a lot of steps - like many other on Koh Tao. We will not come back.

I do not use often this site for comments but what happened to us in March 2021 was the worst experience I ever had over the last years.. We booked this hotel because they have their own beach for snorkeling. The beach is abandoned, does not exist anymore, just plenty of plastic and rubbish. The divingschool was closed. The restaurant too was closed even no breakfast was provided by the hotel. We had to order food from a nearby takeaway restaurant. The reception too was not existing. There was a lady there from 8.30am to 5pm but she made only the check-in. During the night there was simply nobody there. I have asked to talk to the duty-manager but was told there is nobody in charge. We had to pay the 4 days in advance so no way to change the hotel or ask a refund. You cannot trust in such an owner/management even in the future after Covid19. They just take your money and disapear. What a shame.
