very pricey comparing to what you get (2500 bhat per night). the new and trendy rooms are nice but very far from beach side.. and the rooms that are closer to the beach (where we stayed) are old, rusty and was very loud at night time as it is close to the bar.. the room was clean, hot water was...

We arrived on Koh Tao with the idea to do our Open Water then continue our trip. Finally, our instructors Anthony Griffiths and Billy Lewis made us want to stay so we did our Advanced Open Water with them. This experience changed my life! Anthony and Billy are great instructor so ask for them if you are planning to take...

Stayed here some years ago with a mate of mine. We did the 5 day diving course which was a fantastic experience and made some great mates that we hung around with for the rest of our time in Thailand. The rooms were nice and the diving course itself well run - we had a very friendly Israeli teacher -...

Ban's was great! My two friends and I lucked out and got the best instructor on the island. Jaffa (Ian Jeffries) was friendly, enthusiastic about diving, and very knowledgeable. He really made you feel comfortable. His love for diving was contagious. We had a group size of 8 and had Jaffa and Lulu so everyone got lots of personal attention....

Ban's is a nice diver centric resort. If you are planning on diving this would be a good choice. We stayed in one of the hilltop deluxe rooms, which were spacious, but too far up the hill, a steep hill with about 100 stairs at the end of the climb. Other reviewers have complained about the rooms closer to the...

I have just stayed at Bans the last week with my friend! We got an air con room which was slightly extra 600 baht per night! The room is fairly basic but the beds are comfy and the air con doesn't get turned off by the cleaning staff in the day which is always great when coming back in off...

Pros: the biggest diving school in the world with very professional staff (we did a Hebrew course with David and he was outstanding), beautiful hotel and gardens, overall received good service from reception (depends who you speak with there). Cons: the basic rooms you get for free during the course are terrible, some people in the reception had an attitude.

We only stayed at Ban's for one night but we were happy with our stay. We booked a "jungle room" which was nice. The room itself was very clean, the bed was nice, there was a fridge in the room, the wifi worked well, the bathroom was clean, and there was a balcony. The only problem was that we didn't...

I had the most amazing experience with bans diving resort. Thanks George Rogers for the wonderful diving. It was fun to be your student and it was such a great time under the surface. I enjoyed a lot. Cheers Max
