We booked here after struggling to find accommodation with twin bed rooms for our first visit to Lampang. We have more than 10 years experience touring in Thailand and I feel somewhat equipped to judge accommodation. It is ok rooms a bit bare beds hard but ok. There were ants in the shower whisked away by hot water. Staff didn't speak English but we're OK. Wifi works well. It was a short walk to the night market which we really enjoyed strolling along past the historic Chinese wooden houses. The hotel didn't offer breakfast and the places recommended didn't seem to materialise or be open. They did however provide us with a good map of the city which proved handy on our tour of various Wats and other placed of interest. We would look for something a little better next time with a bit more character I think but it's ok not terrific.…
Not worth the money at all. Rooms are cheaply made and cleaning staff will rob you if you leave anything for them. My money was in my suit case and after they cleaned there was over 5000 baht missing.
I had a 4 night stay at the hotel. The service is excellent. The hotel staffs are very friendly and some can speak english. You can arrange with the hotel to take you to the places you want to go. Although he doesn't speak but we interract thru google translator... On my last day the hotel staff drove me to chiangmai airport. As it was still early she drove me to a few sites which i never been to. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a peaceful place for relax. Valued for money with great service.
I stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend. It's very cheap but has roomy accommodation. The hotel is kept clean and the wifi and aircon work well. Staff are friendly. It was in a convenient spot for me, with only about a km walk into the main walking streets in town. It is also only 5 minutes from the nearby Central Plaza shopping centre, which was great for me when it belted down rain. Plenty of undercover restaurants in air conditioned comfort. I also walked from the hotel to the airport in about 20 mins. Overall, if you're travelling through Lampang this is a good cheap option for decent accommodation.
This is very good location to stay, clean rooms, friendly and very helpful staffs also very reasonable price. Hotel is very near to morning market just less than 10 mins walk. We'll back there again in next visit to Lampang.
The staff was super helpful - they redirect me as well to get a free bicycle from the local tourist office. It's the cleanest room I've ever seen in this last trip. Comfortable and really good value for money.
This is a great hotel the location is great 5 minutes walk to the Cental Plaza and 5 minutes drive to the Airport. The rooms are very clean try and request a room to the front of the hotel to get the view of the mountains. The hotel has no lift but the stairs are not steep.
I stayed at The Cottage Hotel in Lampang for 4 nights, I stayed in a suite. It was very spacious, the furniture in the suite was in keeping with the theme of many colours. Maybe a little shocked at first, but it was very cheerful. The rooms were very clean and were serviced every day by a cheerful domestic lady. The large bed was a little hard to sleep on and there were pillows to chose from depending if you like hard or soft. There was a small balcony with chairs and a table available with double doors, just right for the daily sun bathers. There was an electric kettle and a daily supply of coffee and creamers. There was also a microwave for use. I felt safe in this hotel, I always ask for a higher floor (I was on 3rd floor) but there was no elevator so had to climb 40 steps to the room, no problem for me. The Staff on reception were young and enthusiastic and were anxious to learn English. They were very obliging and friendly. I emailed the hotel and asked if they could pick me up from the airport a short distance away. The owner, named Pooky met me in arrivals and immediately made a good impression, she also provided transport on my departure back to the airport. There were no restaurant facilities at the hotel, no breakfast either. There were snacks for sale at reception including soft drinks and some alcoholic cans. Good information was given on things to do in Lampang and the services of a very friendly and bubbly lady driver and air-conditioned car to ride in. I took advantage of their local knowledge and took two tours with them. One to the Elephant Conservation Center, quite close by, and one 4 hour tour of Lampang's many splendid temples and calling at an enormous local food market on the way back. I thoroughly enjoyed the tours and the company of Jame who was a very competent lady driver. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Cottage and was made to feel very welcome.…
This hotel is new and very clean, offering a variety of rooms with different emotion. Although not located in the city center, It is just 5 mins walk to the Central Plaza, a modern shopping complex of the city with food plaza and supermarket, etc. You can also having a quick sushi, pizza, bakery, local food and coffee shop just in front of the hotel.
A shirt walk to the center of town and 5 mins to some excellent restaurants (Thai prices too). We stayed in two rooms, the first was quite dark (no natural light) but spacious and comfortable. The second was basically an apartment with a nice balcony. My advice is pay the extra and get a room with a balcony.
