I was not surprised with the condition of this hotel as it is an old hotel. Beds aren't comfy. Room is smelly. Air cond was not cooling and the weather was very hot n dry. No kettle provided. Had to ask for plain/hot water. Lucky I brought my 3-in-1s. Nothing special here. Hope the management will improve the facilities provided.

This actually turned out to be one of my favourite hotels in Uzbekistan. The building was iconic, and while very much following the Soviet school of architecture, it's definitely an impressive place to stay - with a vast open foyer, enough marble to build a mausoleum, an indoor water feature and even an artist in residence. The reception staff were...

Enormous reception area was shadowy and deserted when we arrived, and having read the other reviews here, I wasn't expecting much to be honest. However - the staff were really kind and friendly, my room was comfortable and spacious (didn't have the same problem with hard mattresses that others have complained of), and my bathroom was the first place I'd...

I stayed at this hotel as it was where we were running a workshop. Can't complain about the staff, conference facilities or service but the hotel reeks of cooked food! The first night of my stay, cold air was blasting out of what was a hot air heater. I did not have hot water in the bathroom for all of...

The reception area of this hotel promises good things to come however the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The walls need a lick of paint, there was no heating and the beds are brick hard. I could actually write my nme in the dust on the surfaces. The breakfasts were average for Uzbekistan. Having visited in November most...

Spent 2 nights there. It is far away from the city center, walking distance of 35 min.approx. and the area around is full with government buildings only and not populated. Cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms is questionable. My room's balcony did not open and the air conditioning was out of order. Breakfast is basic, nothing special. The personel...

We spent three nights in the Bukhara Palace, located in the rather drab downtown of modern Bukhara but less than ten minutes drive from the main tourist sites in the old city. The hotel presents a five star image with a soaring atrium and a large multi-purpose lobby. However, it’s downhill from there. Although it was built in the 1990s,...
