It's in the heart of Vung Tau, or at least that's how we thought, its near commercial places and short walking distance to the shoreline. We stayed there around March of 2007. Its hot but not humid. Small restaurant were just stones throw away, The rooms are like you own home, I normally unable to sleep on the first day...

Despite very good location, the management of this hotel doesn't seem to be able to utilize this advantage. Facilities are average, not of high quality for a 4 star hotel. Food is also average but not well presented. Room service is poor and we can hear the sound from nearby restaurants very clearly in the night, which is a big...

Last few days in VN but wanted to spend some time near the beach so booked a couple of nights here. Good location beach wise but didn't realise that i was some distance away from the tourist area.is. shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel room was clean, everything worked, pool was very good (byo towel) and friendly staff. The hotel,...

Average quality on the whole in terms of facilities and service. Guests rooms in need of renovation and refurnishing. View from the rooms was indeed not bad if facing the beach. A walk along the beach might be the only entertainment as not much shopping or dining could be found nearby.

This was our second stop in Vietnam. Initially, we settled into a room with two beds, even though we asked for one big one. This issue was resolved the next day. A lot of free space, that seems a bit depressing. Breakfast I absolutely did not like. The restaurant is all dirty. Of the benefits - an elevator, wi-fi (a...

I had my company retreat here on September. The inccident happened as I asked for a towel for swimning pool as I forgot to carry with me. I asked if I may borrow frim the pool, and the life guard said no. Then I walked in my swimming short to the lobby and spoke with the receptionists. They told me...

This hotel is close to the beach, the breakfast is ok, has variety. Far from city though, nothing to see at night, no street market around, reception can't really communicate in English Rooms - a little old and tired. Bedsheet has a sweaty smell. Caters more to the locals, who are there for a short break, not really for tourist....

The Sammy Hotel was apparently the second hotel built on the front beach at Vung Tau. It's looking a bit tired now, but it's still ok. The location is good, beachfront, except for the noisy road in between. Half the rooms face the sea, but the windows don't go to the floor, so you can only see the beach and...

After reading the negative reviews on this hotel I wasn't too sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The welcome was fine with plenty of English, the porter took our bags to the rooms which were large and inviting and we settled in for a pleasant 4 days. I found the bed OK and had a pleasant sleep...

Stayed at this hotel as part of our package tour of Vietnam. With a name like "Sammy", I didn't expect much and was thus not too disappointed with having to lodge there. As tour agencies are all out to milk as much money from their customers as possible, they would naturally choose to book the cheapest hotel possible, as well...
