It's our first time in Bintan Beach Resort (BBR) upon a recommendation from a colleague.
I have reviewed this place on the internet earlier so I did not put a higher expectation.
Since we only spend a night in this place, me and my wife only used the room as an overnight accommodation.

BBR located in Taman Impian, inside a local residence area.
This hotel is not new, but offer a standard service. BBR has a spacious parking area for bike and cars. The hotel has a massive open area with sea view, and Instagramable.

It's cheap start from IDR 200K depending on the room type and floor you stay.
The room equipped with old furniture, and we stayed in room 210, with pool view.
We had time in the swimming pool, but the chlorine in the water too strong.
There was no electric kettle, or other complimentary coffee/tea but we can order hot water through the room service.

Food price was quite fair, and we could have breakfast with standard local dishes (lontong, kwetiau, fried noodle/rice, omelette stall, toast, porridge). But honestly the food taste better when we order rather than provided breakfast menu.

Staff were polite and helpful, front desk staff was kind. Thank you to Mr. Pahala Marbun (Op.Manager) to facilitate us to stay.

However, it's an interesting experience staying in this place.
Good to see the place still survives with many guests.

This is your average Bintan resort with lots of space but with less than average maintenance.
First of all this resort is far from Bintan's city centre. The resort has sprawling premises with lots of lawn space and a sizeable length of backyard fronting the backwaters. We had a ball dining in the outdoor gardens at night and there was ample privacy for that. The in-house restaurant had relatively good standard fare for dinner and breakfast. The restaurant area is spacious extending outdoors as well.
The rooms are aged and in need of some maintenance work but otherwise clean and liveable. Balcony opens to the outdoor garden depending on the wing where the room is situated. Resort pool is average sized and again in need of maintenance and to add to that the water appeared to be highly chlorinated.
For the 48 USD/night price for room inclusive of breakfast, I doubt this can be beaten for whatever the resort has to offer.
Recommended as a value for money stay for friends or families looking for a resort experience not necessarily near the city center and within a tight budget.

We had accidentally booked this place as it is also known as Bintan Beach Resort through an agent. It was nowhere in Bintan. It is actually situated ll the way in Tanjung Pinang. The rooms are very bare and you may not get hot water at all times. You will be able to hear any commotion in the next room as well as I believe the walls are very thin. There is no refrigerator or mineral water provided.
The breakfast is very scarce and tasteless, but the customer service is excellent.
It's good to hang by the swimming pools at dusk sipping your cocktails - this may be the only good function of this place.
There are no lifts in this place.

I stayed at this hotel for about ten days.

It is clean and well maintained (I expect it has been fixed up a fair amount since past reviews?).

The pool is clean and beautiful, my favorite part of the hotel.

The free breakfast is decent, with some daily variety. Includes eggs fried to order.

The rooms are quite inexpensive.

There are also several negatives, including:

(1) Despite the name of the hotel, there is NO beach.

(2) WiFi is bad. Plan to be forced to log in about every 10 minutes. (I instead bought a SIM card for my internet/calls.)

(3) Service is poor/inconsistent compared to what many travelers will expect. I believe the young staff are just not trained in “hospitality basics”, because they are otherwise kind and generally helpful. A problematic example from my last day: I ordered a sandwich off the menu via room service, which didn’t show up after 30 minutes; I called to check on progress and only then was I informed that these sandwiches are not available.

Despite the negatives, I expect I will stay here again given that its location is good for me, the hotel is clean and pleasant, and I really liked the pool and the breakfasts.

If you are looking to get away from stress this is a good place. 2 beach bungalows and 3 a little bit away (25 meters). So 5 units total. Beachfront units have no AC but, a good fan and mosquito netting. Food is OK and repetitive (take lunch and dinner adder as it is less than $0.10/day!). This place is quiet and I mean quiet. Even the ocean is quiet. Bring Bug Spray.

Room rate starts from IDR. 200.000 to IDR. 500.000 depends on the room floor and view. Room is okay, no guest amenities. Wifi relatively good. Breakfast so so. But it is worth the price. What is plus for this resort are, with that price, you'll get relaxed just by sitting and watching the sunset. Pool is sufficient enough. In conclusion, this place beats the dominance of luxury resorts in the island and it is a real cheap escape.

Good hotel under renovation.. i am sure it will be much better very soon.. breakfast ok..surrounding good .. with swimming pool(best part of this resort)....

Budget very cheap-- 190000 indonesian rupiah for a night(20SGD) per night, which is quiet cheap, because of the amenities..

PROBLEM - (3 star just because of this).. Temperature in Indonesia is very hot and humid..A/Cs are very old and do not work as expected.. at 18 degree.. it feels like 25 degree which is not expected from a 3 star property..

Even after leaving it switched on for 5 hours, it still feels hot inside the room. We checked multiple rooms late at night(the people were very helpful) but unfortunately all the rooms had same old ac which would not cool.
