Wow! What a major disappointment after staying here years ago. I though it would be as good as I remembered though I was sadly mistaken. Just like the last review I read below - everything is charged through the roof especially food and drinks plus there's nowhere else to go except the hotel's properties ! Play areas are dangerous and falling apart. Definitely no happy hour, wifi is crap and stay far away unless you want to get screwed. I really hope management reads this and makes some serious changes for 2020.

This is my second time here and I am very disappointed. The first time was 3 years ago and we had an awesome experience, hence the return trip. I have a feeling now the hotel is under new management and they are trying to squeeze all the money they can out of the guests. The first day I was with my parents and my son, and the second day my husband was arriving and my parents would be going off. I was told that I would need to top up $67 Singapore dollars for an extra bed for my husband and that would include breakfast. I replied that I would have a look at the room first. Later I did top up the money for the extra bed. This is what I would have paid in a hotel in Singapore. On the second day, when we went to breakfast and my husband had not arrived yet, I was told that I would be charged for my son. I refused as my room rate already included 2 adults breakfast and it was just an adult and a child having breakfast. After that, they acknowledged that they would not charge for my son. We went to have a look around the hotel and we went into the kids' club. There was no pricing for the kids club put outside the door and my boy was enjoying himself. I was then stopped by the girl in charge and told that I had to pay. I replied that other resorts only charged for dropoff (i.e. if you left your child there). Her reply was "Other resorts, Mdm". The food is really pricey and costs the same if you were to have it in a restaurant in Singapore. A cocktail is $13.50 Singapore dollars. We went for a barbeque buffet and it was $55 a head for adults and $30 for a child. With 2 drinks and a beer it came up to $200. I'm just writing this to warn other travelers about the high cost. If you are looking for a short getaway that is more affordable than a Singapore staycation, this is NOT IT. It is not worth the trouble paying for the ferry ticket and going through customs to get screwed over once you are there. I am never coming back. Also, the WiFi here sucks. If you want to charge the same prices as Singapore, Bintan Nirwana, you should have more reliable WiFi.

was deeply dissapointed to see solidified chunks of petrol-when the sea resides around 2.30 pm-about 6 meters in- right in front of the massage parlour, near the big rock in the sea.( right hand side in the beach, by the tilted coco tree). an area of about 10 meters by 5 meters is full of old solidified petrol chunks under the sea bed, when you step on it is slimey and smelly, that really put everyone off and the management should REALLY CLEAN THIS AREA thoroughly , after the big oil spill they had in the island some time ago. stuff is very friendly, breakfast is ok. building can do with a bit of repainting , more maintenance and revamp as its an old establishment. basketball area at pool is ALL BROKEN RIMS, and there is a NOISY RUSTY ROOF FAN AT THE POOL BAR ready to fall off ( putting many bathers off) KIDS PLAYGROUND WAS TOTALLY BROKEN UP , RUSTY PARTS protruding, and lightly sealed off with a plastic tape , but still some kids were crawling under and using it , which was really dangerous. bowling free tickets is a scam as they charge you for the shoes once you get there! and NO AIRCON IN THE KIDS PLAY AREA OR BOWLING MALL! how can the kids enjoy it??? zip line was shut at 3.00 pm with no reason given. water bottle 6$! pool table 9$ an hour. massages at 45$ per hour. so a budget place maybe... but you end up paying a lot more if you get playfull or thirsty. all our friends were quite dissapointed ESPECIALLY WITH THE BEACH and we truly hope the management can notify the REPAIRS team to fix all these concern areas.

We stayed in this hotel from 26 July 2019 till 28 July 2019. We chose this hotel as we were going to motorbike offroad from a shop nearby. I intend at first to give this hotel 3 stars but with the money i paid i can't fault it as a budget hotel. It looks decent and my only real complain is that no lift in the hotel and we stayed on the 4th floor. Basic room with toiletries, air-con, TV , Wifi ~ Most of the hotel staff are polite and helpful. We order number of room service etc.

This hotel is worth the money that you pay. Located in a pretty quiet location and pretty easy to get from the hotel to the port. Breakfast was good and you have free wifi too. I would have no qualms returning to stay here again.
