I only used the swimming pool facilities and restaurant for one day but it was a very nice place. We had the swimming pool for ourselves the whole morning, the staff was very friendly and the seafood noodles where the best I had in the whole weekend (they are included with the 100.000 IDR entrance fee to the swimming pool).

This hotel upon first appearance is lovely. When we arrived and saw the lobby and pool we thought that it was lovely. When we got to our room we were highly disappointed. The sheets had huge yellow stains all over them and the room smelled strongly of smoke. This was a non-smoking room but it provided an ASHTRAY encouraging people to smoke in the room. Thankfully we brought blankets as I would not have slept in that bed without new sheets and blankets. The wi-fi constantly cut in and out. The staff spoke very little english. When we purchased the return ferry tickets they mentioned that they HAD to be printed ahead of time or you would not be permitted on the ferry. I asked the front desk repeatedly to print them for us and they told me that they did not have a printer!! I took a peek behind the desk and they had a beautiful canon printer. So, that was annoying. Also, when we checked in we mentioned that we wanted to go on a temple tour the next day. They said yes and to come to the front desk when we were ready. However, we got a call to our room at 9 am the next day saying our taxi driver was ready for us. We were not ready or expecting that at all so that was kind of annoying. The pool is lovely and so busy with people. However, no bikinis etc...99% of the people there were muslims and the women wore swimming outfits. The saving grace was the amazing people in the town - everyone is SO friendly and SO nice. I absolutely loved the people and the PUPPIES of Tanjung Pinang!

After checked out from the cockroaches infested room @ Bintan Laguna, we checked in to a 4-star Sahid Bintan Beach Resort (11-13 Jun, 2017 booked via Agoda @ sgd90.72 nett incl. breakfast for a Sea View Double). To our astonishment, we were greeted by a flying cockroach upon stepping in to our assigned room #1215. Another 'Roach Hunting & Killing' episode!! 😩 Upon our request, we were re-assigned room #1216 (Note: Housekeeping offered to clean up the room by removing the 'corpse' of cockroach ! Lyn, Assistant Manager is helpful & kind to offer us a complimentary late check-out @ 3pm Indon Time. We were unsure if it's merely poor luck or we've found new admirer - cockroaches, as they seemed attracted to us by following us around in Bintan ! Ps. Agoda was kind to offer a USD6 discount to compensate us this 'Roach-Fright' experience 😅

We booked this hotel, because it's just within our budget (45-50 SGD/NIGHT) and they offered pick up and drop from ferry terminal to Hotel. Pros - 1) Rooms are spacious and clean, WIFI also available (in some reviews i noticed that this facility is not there before). 2) Breakfast is good (we had veg fried rice, noodles, and bread - all good). 3) Pool was neat with clean water. 4) They offered 6hours city tour (which is 6 seater car) and it is 60SGD for 6 hours, which i believe is a good offer. Driver is so cool and he took us to all good places. 5) Watersports offered by some external party, but still they are good - as we had booked for snorkeling & whitesands island tour (it costed us 100 SGD together for 2 pax) Cons - 1) Though staff are very friendly and helpful, but very few people will understand english. But they have one manager, with whom i spoke to over phone she is good in English and she helped us in arranging english speaking driver and quick in her email response (which we did before visiting their hotel). 2) Very few options for vegetarians. Overall, i am happy that i spent my first trip in a decent hotel and i would recommend to those who can't afford expensive hotels.

Everything in this resort is average - from food to the setting and maintenance of the rooms. We rented motorcycles and I got myself into an accident (my fault) and no immediate first aid was available (kit was incomplete) The staff are helpful but need to get more training on these kind of instances.

Rooms were not clean and smelt, hotel left us at the ferry terminal (they do not offer transfer to the hotel which is about 1 hour drive), breakfast was standard, and most the staff were not helpful in assisting us. Hotel needs a serious makeover!

The hotel area is clean, cozy and have a fresh air because it is located far away from the traffic. I feel so peace in this nature. I have one issue for the swimming pool, make it cleaner. The food describes Indonesia and I like it the most.
