Nicely located, almost at the crater edge camping like place. Not far from the city centre. Very nice and helpful staff. All huts windows are directed in the point where the Sun rises, but you might get out to see this spectacle fully. There is a great spot to do that in the front of the lodge. The huts are in...

Thank you for the review! We were happy to have you with us and glad you enjoyed your stay. It is true that the parking is not right next to the accommodation area but at least it is only 100 meters and you get complete quiet :) Warm regards from the crater

I was travelling with my 20 something year old son. He had been highly recommended to Desert Shade. I saw no reason to research it. Big mistake!! The crater was awesome! The hiking great ! I enjoyed the primitive little huts that we slept in. The staff were warm and friendly. However, the bathroom and showers were not clean enough...

The Desert Shade Eco Lodge provides very basic accomodation in mud tents with toilets and showers in a separate area, some 50-100mtrs from the huts (could be a problem at night and in cold weather! In any case bring a torch! If you have booked accom. in the huts, you'll receive a bedcover, sheet and pillowcover to be used on...

Situated at the rim of the Ramon crater, the dramatic view is 50% of the experience. The sunrises it the desert expanse, seen from the many outdoor places to laze and sit. It is a simple place that fits its surroundings. The people are lovely. suitable for budget travellers.

For 2 old geezers like me and my husband, we really enjoyed the authentic like bare bones kinda place. I could not stay for more than one night because the pillows were not so good. Next time, I will bring a pillow! The showers and toilet are not in the room, it is a camp ground like atmosphere. The cabins...

If you jave no explanation and happy to put your head to rest this might be the place for you. The vew is beautiful, breath taking, overlooking the crateor. The hats are thin, you every breath of your neighbors so don't expect any privacy. Yet, if you look for relatively cheap place, at great location as hiking start point then...

The rooms and the main house had no heat, and the old pillows which are supposed to be the mattress on a hard platform were so disgusting that we could not stay there. The owner refused to refund our money. Buyer Beware do not book this as there is no refund and it is run down and hard to get...

We came a group of friends from work for one night in the big tent and it was brilliant!!! The sunset, the stars, moon and sunrise - we experienced the desert day cycle at its best! The food and wine were great and tasty. We also had a very interesting talk with the owner. Everybody came back home excited, wishing...

Eco camp for someone looking for something special and for whom luxury is not the key issue of the vacation. The big common living room has a wonderful atmosphere. Warm hospitality, spectacular view over the Ramon crater. The owners and personnel are very friendlly and always ready to help and give advice. Good starting point for hiking and biking. Remark:...
