The Serena was our second lodge on our safari and after viewing previously before travelling we knew we were in for a treat and it did not let us down.....aside from the luxurious rooms and surroundings we were privelaged to meet and chat with Clive Arnold,National Geographic photographer and wildlife expert who was very patient and kind with my two...

After our lovely beach holiday we stopped over at Kilaguni and must say that this was the icing on the cake! We took the suites includung the famous one that Koffi Annan stayed in. My daughter's comment was "it feels like we are home". The food and service at the restaurant was superb and the staff were friendly and ready...

you know the minute you arrive it's a bit special. The views from the hotel over the water holes and the plain below are a bit special. As evening descended the animals appeared in their hundreds. It was a scene from the Lion King the only thing missing was Elton John's singing ! By the following morning not an animal...

We were here for new years with a large portion of my extended family (16pax), we have been regular clients of Kilaguni and it keeps getting better and better, they have a low staff turnover so most employees recognize you. It makes the whole experience that much more intimate. Food / service / staff all irreproachable. Typical Serena !!!

We only stayed one night but had such a fantastic time. We booked with JT safaris (have their own trip advisor page and we can only recommend them). It was so refreshing after a day of travelling to arrive at Kilaguni and be handed hot towels. Our rooms were fantastic and teh food was outstanding! Unfortunately it rained so there...

We stayed overnight at this hotel and were very impressed. The room was beautiful and spacious. The bathroom was gorgeous. We had a balcony with a good view of the waterhole. The view of the waterhole from the restaurant was amazing, especially in the early morning with the changing colours of the lanscape. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast included...

The Kilaguni lodge is set in the most stunning valley with views to Mt Kilimanjaro on a clear day. The views from the veranda to the water hole allow easy viewing of animals coming to drink. We saw elephant, gazelle & baboons! The rooms have huge beds and similar views to the lodge itself. The restaurant is fantastic & the...

We did a three day / two night safari with JT Safaris - JULIUS TACT SAFARIS (by the way don't be fooled by other safari companies with a similar name, these are the guys to go with. Their website is www.julius-safaris.com and it's run by the delightful Julius K.Nzumbi) and absolutely loved Kilaguni Serena lodge. Without doubt our favourite lodge!...

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a prime location near Chaimu Crater, Mzima Springs, and Poacher's Lookout. Although Kenya's oldest park lodge, renovation has enabled it to more than hold its own among the country's better large lodges. The comfortable rooms are well laid out with ample storage space, desk, sitting area, and balcony, although the majority do not afford the...

Amazing we were upgraded(for free) to the Kilimanjaro suite with 4 windows commanding view over the park and the waterhole with a marble bathroom with bath and 2 sinks, sofa and TV. Bungalows otherwise. Lush green garden oasis. Great view of the park, waterhole and animals day and night (lights) from the restaurant/bar. Very good buffet. Wi-Fi +PC is available....
