we booked the suite with beach view. The room is big and spacious and comfortable beds. There is no direct access to beach, but has an entry to the beach outside the resort. almost like a private beach, but even public can access.
the swimming pool is small, and most crowded throughout the day, may be it was during weekends. Not sure during weekdays.
the breakfast spread had separate stall for Roti canai on Saturday morning during our stay, which was good.
live egg station. but otherwise there is not much options for vegetarians.
We had asked for extra towel for kid, they said all towels were used and no spare towels to provide.
they have to be prepared for the almost full booking.

Stayed here with my family of 5 during the recent Labor Day and Aidilfitri long weekend. As one of the most highly-rated hotels in Port Dickson (PD), I must say that I was quite disappointed with the overall condition of the room, as well as the hotel's amenities. Echoing what the other recent reviewers have highlighted, this hotel is due for major upgrading works. Below are some of the key "limitations" that I would like to point out based on the observations from my stay here:

1. For a supposedly 4-star hotel, the rooms are still using key access and split air-cond units (seriously??), the latter of which resulted in me having trouble sleeping at night due to the loud noise from our room's outdoor unit, which was placed close to the sofa bed.

2. The bathroom is equipped with only an overhead shower... without even a hand shower. This makes it difficult for room guests to do light washing, e.g. washing one's feet.

3. The swimming pool, although spacious, is surrounded by very limited amenities for the guests (e.g. deck chairs and beach chairs), and only one outdoor shower area. And not forgetting as well that each room is limited to ONLY ONE (1) pool towel....

Despite all that however, the overall quality and efficiency of service from the hotel staff were quite satisfactory, except that we were slightly unhappy with the attitude of the lady in charge of the bicycle facilities, whereby she looked slightly disgruntled due to the fact that we came to her just as she was about to dismiss for the day.

In terms of convenience, this hotel is situated right in the heart of the bustling PD town, with a handful of F&B outlets (incl. seafood restaurants) located within a few minutes' drive. In addition, it is also just a few minutes' walk from the hotel to one of the beautiful white sandy beaches that PD is renowned for.

stayed here from 30th to the 1st of january and i must say, this hotel does have it's potential if the management just focuses on the mantainance.

personally, ill give the cleanliness of the room 3/5. there was a cockroach smell coming from the fridge and many stains on the pillow. when i asked for a change, the housekeepers strictly offer us only a pillow, which never came until i went up to the housekeeper, and asked for one. the towel was slightly dirty as well, so i would suggest to bring your own towels.

the room features were also complete with everything, however, for those who will pick the sea view room, be really careful with the windows as it is not tinted and there is a renovation going on at the residential area so the workers are able to see what you are up to. another thing is the bathroom sliding door, maybe this only happens in the room that i stayed in, but everytime i tried pulling it, it slanted as if its going to come off and break into pieces.

breakfast wise, it was a horror and disappointed me. with a 4 star hotel, i do have an expectation that the food might be good but that's not the case. the hotdog tasted cheap, bread pudding tasted like a "ready-to-go" with a bread that is not suitable at all. i couldn't try anything else, though i went at 8am, it was packed with people so strongly suggest if you visit during holidays, try going for the breakfast earlier to be able to try everything.

the amenities were just fine, the parking is free and spacious, there are few activities you can try out but i didn't so i couldn't give my rating on this. the bar was quite fun to chill to, the singers were friendly and happy go lucky and all the songs they played were nostalgic. but two things that bugged me was the wifi that was so slow, i couldn't even open a simple app. second was the beach that is shared with other hotels. it's not the hotel's fault but for those who stay here for the beach, please be mindful that the beach is disgustingly dirty and polluted with plastic bags and men who would catcall you just for you to try their banana boat. smh.

location wise is good, pretty close to everywhere but most importantly, really close to all the restaurants. the furthest restaurant I tried just took about 20 minutes, without traffic congestion, and the time would feel really quick because the route to everywhere is really fun to look at. anywhere you go, it would truly be a place to study the people and the night culture in PD.

Avillion Admiral Cove has a management & teambuilding program which focuses on outdoor obstacle courses & activities, with their affordable pricing package & excellent service, our company opted for a 3D2N program with them.

The staffs catered to our requests really well, everything can be discussed and any issues are resolved immediately! This is one of the best and most fun teambuilding program we have ever experienced. We really like to express our gratitude and thanks to Miss Goh in Sales for being so easygoing & accommodating to our plentiful requests, and Mr Isnor, Miss Fitrah, Mr Prabu, Miss Chot, Mr Dino & team for their combined effort in making the event a great success. I would really like to emphasize on the BBQ dinner package, the food are well-prepared & delicious! It is worth much more than what we've been promised!

The building exterior and locations are a little confusing at first but staffs are friendly and quick to assist us. Suggest to add a big location map at the lobby in case anybody can easily refer to. Nonetheless, the building itself is beautiful, decorations are very vintage and classy, especially the grand Porte Cochere area which we had our dinner.

Some points worth improving are, better housekeeping can be done for the rooms (eg: minimal algae & water stains on glass), but these are just minor problems, the rooms are spacious and wide enough already, and pillow & sheets are comfortable.

We hope to extend the program to our executive staffs in the near future. Thank you once again!

Have stayed here before many times in the past and it was decent then... And this time (after 3 years), the hotel has gone in down so much in quality standard and maintenance. The key card system is no more working and they replaced the hole with a key. The cabinets in the room are falling apart. Room is dirty, stained everywhere and poorly maintained. Aircon is old and the vents are very dirty with dust all over inside the vents and it doesn't even cool the room even if you set at 16C on full blast. Shower room is damaged and the holders are rusted till the glass does not sit in it. Disappointed, very disappointed. Calls to reception or housekeeping and nobody picks up the phone until have to walk to front desk and ask (and wair for it) whilst one of the staff busy on the her mobile phone. This is like a 1.5 star hotel or worst

This so called beach resort is quite run down and never deserves 4 stars. Don’t believe the fotos on the net. Pictures can lie! There a NO loungers at the poolside and no sunshades or something. In the dimly lit bathroom there was a pond around the toilet, because water was leaking from somewhere. The „house technician“ had no idea how to repair it. Plates with rests of meals were placed in the corridor and not removed for days.
The price is far to high for what you find there!
BEWARE OF SUNDAYS and public holidays when Muslim families crowd the hotel and the nearby beach! They all go swimming or splashing fully clothed, even men, which means that they all stare at you if you dare to wear ordinary trunks or a Bikini.
When we asked at the reception for a taxi to Malakka, they tried to ovecharde us. With the help of another guest we got one for half the price.

The photos do not resemble the hotel one bit. The cleanliness was horrible! Especially for a supposedly good reputed hotel like that. My husband and I entered to a room that did not even look like it was cleaned before, a lot of stuff in the washroom were moldy, rusty and not a sight that anyone would like to be in. The room was dusty, there were drawings on the wall, the hallway was full of tissues, hair, all kinds of gross stuff. We immediately went back to the reception, they gave us a better room (at first they wanted to charge us extra for the new room which honestly was even rude to ask considering the experience, they gave us the room free of charge) but we are still never going back to that resort again. The only good thing was the view, pool (for the most part), and just some of the staff were very sweet, and how close it is to the beach. The manager was extremely rude, she would not address my husband and I face to face, and whenever I would talk to her directly she would not even give me eye contact, and say something in Bahasa to the staff (I’m assuming so I wouldn’t understand). So yeah, DO NOT GO! Save your money! I would never pay that much again for this kind of a room.

The seafront cove view greeted us warmly as we entered the hotel lobby for check in and our room too! Our family of 3 spent 3days, 2 nights from 29 June to 1st July 2023 in a spacious room, with 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed (Room #2400) in Vista Wing. We were blessed with the beautiful sea view and can't stop admiring sun rises, sunsets and the colours of the skies being natural skywatchers. My son loved admiring the beautiful mansions around the cove, privately owned mansions still being built.

There are lots of activities to fill your day if you just want to relax in the hotel. Be it reading a good book by the pool, swimming in the small odd shaped pool, or riding the fat bike (rental charges apply). We went for archery and kayaking which were fun! Thanks to Ms Wong and Mr Isnor for their friendly guide on activities. Mr Isnor took charge of kayaking, gave us good tips and helped took photos of us. We had a good 1 hour kayaking in good weather.

The buffet breakfast comes free with room for 2 pax, but very normal basic menu, nothing to shout about. There were a few hours of power blackout due to TNB issues on our first night and 2nd day afternoon too but was quickly resolved. Overall good short stay.

Booked through Expedia for 2 nights stay for the CNY holidays. Read horrible reviews from TA, so I checked in not putting a lot of high hopes, furthermore I know this hotel has been around for ages.
Check in day was swift and the room was surprisingly clean but there is a strong unpleasant odour throughout. Bed linens were passable, pretty comfy, bathroom has toiletries. Nice view from the window too. I have to complain about the cleaning service in the morning. I left the room at 8am and return at 1pm but to my horror, the room was still in a mess and the make-my-room sign still dangling on the door! And the cleaners are still cleaning in the room next door. What is happening?
For a frequent traveller like me, I know how to appreciate hotel and I think the assets of Admiral Marina are the front counter staffs from the concierge all the way to the restaurant staffs. Polite and friendly.
Breakfast has limited choice though for both days I stayed. Would prefer some continental selection but mainly Malaysian food. Swimming pool was horrendous. Malay Malaysians just soaked themselves inside the water with full clothed on together with the head scarves. The scene was disgusting. The hotel should set swimming attire rules, saw few Westerners shaking their heads in disbelieves.

Average hotel with Average rooms. Rooms are dated, expensive prices for dated rooms. Need more cleanliness. Staff at reception needs training, very unwelcoming attitude with bad responses. Have live singing most of the days in the week so something positive. Rooms comes with Breakfast , however breakfast is not that great with very limited choices, it's like take it or leave it policy. Staff needs training on all aspects of guest experience. It will come only if they know the meaning of customer service or guest experience . Even hawker stall have better service nowadays, wont be paying such high $$$ for such horrible experience.
