The best part of our 2 day stay was the delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and plenty of space in our two room apartment. The mini-fridge was suspiciously warm. All in all a good value for 4 people accomodation.

My boyfriend and I decided to re-visit Bayu Beach Resort, our first stay was back in 2008, and we enjoyed our stay there.

With a pretty competitive rate of above RM200 for the studio room, the hotel does not have much to offer. The pool and the beach was the only things that scored points on my list.

Although the room was very spacious, it was very worn out, the sheets were not clean, and the furniture inside were all tired looking. I was willing to compromise with the condition of the room, but when the air condition started to drip and tiny pieces of ice fell out from the aircon, we actually broke out into laughter. So when we woke up in the morning, we had a wet floor and a well-soaked floor mat.

Breakfast for 2 was included in the room rate, and it was a simple fare of continental and Asian food, no complaints on that. After another walk on the beach, we checked out, and I don't think I will be returning to this hotel anytime soon - unless I hear of a refurbishment. :)

the hotel room is an average in the scale for the price they put. i stayed at 2 bedroom apartment, ground floor. the beach looks ok and it is just walking distance from the room. the aircond is very old, noisy and it is in very terrible state. it have old tv with only malaysian free channel (TV1, TV2 etc). the breakfast menu is terrible with no many choices available.

We've book this resort for our stay over the weekend. It was a studio and the rate is quiet premium.

The room did not come with enough facilities in my view eith such a premium price - morethan 60% hike during weekend.

The resort lack the following;
1. No free internet wifi provided by the resort
2. The tv only serves general channel. No sat chanel.
3. The surroundings is weary and not well maintained.
4. Every additional/extra in your room will be charge. We were charge RM 5 for extra bath towel.
5. The trolley is there for you to self service. No one will come to pick up ur lugage.
6. The rate comes with 2 free breakfast. Additonal person (or kids) is charge at RM 15/pax. We end up crossing the road for a nearby stall and had breakfast far cheaper than that with our kids.
7. The toiletries is basic.
8. They claim to have the best beach in Port Dickson but it is actually shared with public. Many people are camping at the beach in front of the hotel since it is a nice spot.

The roomrate is pricey during the weekeend, you may find other hotels pricey as well when you refer to airbnb or homestay. Compare to the rate, i guess others are fair with their service

Having travelled to well over a hundred countries and had much experience in living in hotels I consider this one to be at the low/lower end of the scale. It is very obviously not value for money and I have had better rooms in the expensive Bukit Bintang area of KL more cheaply than Bayu Beach Resort. In my room (1) the shower head was broken (2) shower bracket loose on the wall (3) water heater not working - cold shower only (4) 2 x electrical sockets broken. The television is national programmes only and picture quality so bad that it was not worth watching. There was a kitchen - but no cooking facilities. The inclusive breakfast was so bad that I walked into the restaurant once - had a glass of juice and then walked out - never went back. I had had to pay for my 3 weeks stay up front and the money was charged to Mastercard in seconds. I left early. Don't even consider getting any money back if you leave early - once they have it then it is gone forever. They even charge to replace coffee sachets in the room ! I am puzzled as to how people accept such low standards. Definitely not recommended - look elsewhere.

Stayed for 3d2n in apartment 3 rooms 3toilets. This is our 1st time stayed at this resort.

Rooms are way above our expectations. Beds & pillows are comfy. Provided with 2 extra pillows in each room. Room's view is directly facing the Strait of Malacca.

Room is like a penthouse where the master bedroom is located on the upper floor. In the upper floor, there's a large living area in front of the master bedroom, got sofa but with no TV. Master bedroom has own toilet.

TV was provided in the main living room with sofa. 2 bedroom with 2 single beds. And 2 toilets.

Our kids are happy with the pools. The main pool is big & clean. The beach also clean. We enjoyed the beach/sand also.

Overall, we are satisfied with the stay. It's way above our expectations!

So shocking! Many room touts at the entrance of the hotel despite signboards saying "No room touts". Got to know these are agents
selling private owned units at the apartment. They approached us
and asked us to wind down our window, it is so scary. Too bad for
the hotel as people may think that they are selling hotel rooms !
Luckily, we booked our room earlier from the hotel official website.

We book the resort penthouse with agent through internet, which do not mention to us that we are not allow to change car once booking done/ changes can be done before 14 days from the date of booking. What kind of rules they imposed?? Aren't they should check the identity card of the person who book&pay the house and be a little bit flexible for the parking sticker? Coz we are not able to guarantee the car plate # given during booking will definitely be used. Because we drive different car we end up have to park our car outside the hotel. We felt angry as we were the guest and our car were not allowed to go in.

Reception staff are unhelpful and some wear surgical face masks which is a bit off putting. The hotel room was very basic with a navy blue bath suite guess how long thats been there. The air com was very noisy and directled at the bed didn't sleep to well but beds were clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast included in price, I stuck to toast and fruit the other dishes were more for Malaysian's which is fine but can't do curry for breakfast. The food was OK same menu for lunch and dinner but well cooked. Don't ask for wine causes great problems especially red wine beer is ok.
The only thing that saved this hotel is the view over the Malacca straits and a good sized swimming pool (pool area could have done with a good clean).

There's a rule of wearing swimming attire but they didnt mention that it has to be fully covered. Only 1 small swimming pool at hotel so male and female arent separated.
