Thank you Stephen & Salmiah for your hospitality and for sharing your home with us. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience on nature that many can learn just by listening to you. We thoroughly enjoyed the homemade sumptuous breakfast!

I cannot say enough good things about Stephen’s Place. Stephen & Salmiah kindly fitted us in at very short notice for 5 nights despite the fact they were already busy. Stephen’s Place is designed for naturalists and wildlife photographers and is on a loop road that heads around Fraser Hill. Rainforest doesn’t give up its wildlife easily but Stephen’s Place...

My third trip to Fraser's Hill. I read many good reviews for Stephen's Place and decided to stay there this time. From now on, all my future trips to Fraser's Hill I will stay at Stephen's Place. For all nature photogs, that should be your choice. The breakfast and dinner were both sumptuous. The sagu dessert was delicious and you...

This is the only place to stay in Fraser's Hill if you are a wildlife enthusiast. Not only is the guest house clean, friendly and with the most excellent food, but you are amongst other guests who are like minded in their love of nature. Stephen's wildlife friendly garden attracts many species and his knowledge of the area is second...

Stephen's Place is the place to stay when visiting Malaysia! When you arrive you are immediately greeted by beautiful flowering plants. Most of the plants have been chosen for their ability to draw birds, butterflies, moths and other wild life to the gardens. Stephen typically is the one who helps you move into your new home. And you are told...

Stephen's Place was the perfect place for me. There was wildlife everywhere: birds, snakes, primates, and my favorite: arthropods. Stephen was a very knowledgeable naturalist and photographer, and his ten year old son, Adam, was an excellent bird guide and photography coach. Salmia, Stephen's wife, made the best Malaysian food. I am sure that I wouldn't have done better by...

Stephen's Place is a great place to stay for anyone visiting Fraser's hill, especially if you're interested in wildlife. Stephen has a wealth of knowledge on all of the wildlife in the area and this alone would be worth staying here for! The room I had was spacious and very clean and the food was delicious - as a vegetarian...

The best place for nature lovers; it is enough to open the balcony door and sit there to watch and hear the birds which are in front of you. It has been achieved thanks to the special arrangement of the garden done by the owners of the place. The rooms are arranged simply but comfortable enough, the breakfasts and dinners...

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in October, we were following the classic birding route: Kuala Selangor, Fraser's Hill and Taman Negara. Stephen's Place is a real gem, a large refurbished pre-WWII house on Girdle Road. We had a large en-suite room of the first floor which, overlooked the garden. Stephen is a great host providing excellent...

We spent a fabulous 6 nights at Stephens Place and were reluctant to leave. Our room was spacious, airy and had a fabulous balcony. We are vegan and Selmia provided excellent meals for our needs. As Birdo's this place was superb, with great opportunities both in the garden and along the many roads and trails all accessible from the bungalow....
