Overall unsatisfied with this accommodation. The sheets were very dirty when we arrived, when we asked for new sheets someone came to change them but the new ones were also dirty with crumbs and even hairs… The room looked like it was not cleaned at all, dust everywhere and the floor was gross. The bathroom had stains of previous visitours and even empty shower gell bottles. There were ants and bugs everywhere in the room and on the property. The restaurant was closed the first night we got there without explanation. The staff was not very helpfull or kind. They said there was a laundry service, but our laundry took two days and came back looking like it had not been cleaned at all. For all these problems the staff did not step up or try to find a solution. We paid relatively much if you take into consideration that all chalets were empty and considering our bad experience. Not worth the money in the slightest. Overall a bad experience and we recommend everybody to stay somewhere else.

You will regret it. The staff is the worst staff I have met in whole my 6 month travel. The restaurant/cafe are even worse! It is first time in my life I meet staff like that. No respect at all, they talk to costumers like every costumer is lying...

We visited Tioman in March - although reaching the place can be quite a task, the island itself is cosy and pristine. Juara Mutiara is a good resort. The rooms were clean, the cafe served good food. We were lucky to get a room that was on the beach - which was spectacular, especially waking up to the sounds of the shore every morning. They offer pickup and dropoff to the ferry (which will take you 20-30 minutes) at an additional cost. They also arrange for snorkelling trips for a price. The staff was nice, and the location of the resort is nice.

Score-Average(3 over 5) We stay for 3d2n..without resort package as family holiday(with kids 1yrs to 7yrs). The resort 30mins from jetty tekek where need to rent transport(only 4wd)can go to resort as location on the hill.Limited transport if used without resort package.Transport charge Rm25/head,Kids rm20. If used resort transport, charge for one car -rm150/trip.Means rm300 for 2ways.Very costly esp for fmily.Motorcycle rent rm80/day and high risk if use to go Tekek Overall, beautiful beach &quiet place as far away from town(Tekek).Limited transportation&very costly esp if would like to go nearest town to buy survenior, etc. Tekek is main area that all shops/restaurant, Pusat Taman Marin, etc.Chalet, air cond need to change new as even temp show 17'C like 28'C. VERY WORST.Bathroom door broken and can't lock. Chalet price cheaper than other resort but there is hidden cost need to know.We spend more money for transportation only.Too sad this holiday!.

Recently stayed at Juara for 7 nights we decided to stay an additional night on the island and moved to Juara Muitara Resort for the final night. The room (seaside bungalow) was expensive in comparison to other bungalows/resorts on the beach which were also a lot nicer! The reason for this review is to comment on the dispair of the bathroom, it was very unclean (hair in the sinks and bath, mould), it was consistently wet with an overflow tap running out of the toilet and onto the ground (we had to shut the water main to the bathroom to stop the noise and water build up), lastly the water, uncleaniness and lack of sunlight meant the bathroom smelt and this permiated throughout the room. You could smell it at night. The bungalow balcony had no seats and was therefore useless. If we stayed our full time at Juara Mutiara here we would of moved after the first night.

We did last minute book with this resort for 2 rooms for my family. Good location, near to few restaurant and near to the beach. Room is good condition, air-con is cold and ready on when we just checked in. Staffs are all helpful. But room didn't come with drinking water bottle, so if you plan to stay here you need to bring your own drinking water and you can buy it from their mini shop at check in counter. Overall is ok.

On my recent visit on the 20th to 23rd June to Juara Mutiara in TIoman, we a family of 6 with 2 kids faced the worst experience ever in out travel so far. We ordered cheese prawn from the menu, the chef made the menu from either rotten cheese or prawn as it smelled too foul and tasted high poisonous where you can literally smell the toxic gas coming out from the prawn and cheese when cooked. I am a certified Safety & Health Officer so, please I hope my review hold some credentials. When we asked the waiter ( a malay guy with black round specticle) to change the prawn cheese dish by at least wsahing then and cooking in a different style, we were ignored for 15 minutes. When we asked again, he mentioned that the chef declined to do so and said that they may consider to do it after about 6 more customers order. They also denied cancellation. After about 1 hour, we called and they ignored our request hoping that we get frustrated and go . Finally we went to the cashier to pay and said that we want the dish to be cancelled. With highest order sarcasm and arrogance the malay guy mentioned that it can not be cancelled once its ordered even if it is spoilt, worst when I asked for a discount for a dish which we did not eat at all, he just ignored and just took the money from us. I had made a report to the DOSH , Malaysian safety and health department to take action on them as I found their kitchen were dirty with filthy stock , rotten poultry and meat etc. This was the worst experience we have had in our entire life where we were forced to pay for a food which were clearly spoilt and poisonous. We highly recommend for your to eat elsewhere because your words will not be heard in this pathetic restaurant. I will continue writing this comment again and again in the spirit of saving other lives from poisonous hazard and the barbaric act of the employees as in the waiter and chef of the JUARA MUTIARA RESORT RESTAURANT , TIOMAN. If you do not believe my comment whoever is visiting this restaurant, pls attend to the restaurant and just observe the way the waiter attends to you and try cancelling any menu which you think is not freshly prepared and needing to change etc especially peak evening hours where they may have lots of customers and they will victimise you.

i liked the rooms in the garden area, spacious and clean and nicely equiped with water cooker. After the first day the sink started to smell very terrible and the friendly staff gave us a new rooms at the beach. Little smaller but definetly no sink smell. perfect place for sunrise at the beach, but protect against sand flies and mosquitos...

Pros: Quiet location (may differ during peak season) with enough privacy on the beach. Noise levels are okay, with occasional motor sound from main road behind seaview chalets. There is an attached convenience store. There are some nearby f&b stalls in operation with good Malay/Thai food. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Though they may not be able to give you all the help you ask for, they at least try to help and are polite if not being able to. Affordable price per night. Cons: Ill-maintained chalets. The door handles, windows, sink tap, bathtub are covered in hard water (calcium buildup) and are close to being dysfunctional. Towels are stained (luckily we brought our own). Some light switches and power outlets do not function. There are no provided toiletries like bath soap, shampoo or toothpaste and even drinking glasses and mugs are nowhere in the room (but there are instant coffee and sugar sachets). We did not bother to request for these as we only stayed one night in the end.

We've been 8 days in the Juara Mutiara Resort and we liked it very much ! Our chalet was a budget one, it was a little old and need refreshments but was okay to sleep. The beach is at 15 meters, very quiet with few people, the view was just fantastic. For the restaurant, the dishes were good but we had to wait quite a long time to receive them ( but it is frequent in asia). The hotel propose trips to corail island, it was very nice!!
