This resort offers affordable resort stays and has what it takes to keep visitors busy for a few days. It self-proclames as an eco-friendly resort and is therefore a bit less luxurious than other resorts. The food buffet is a bit repetitive, but OK for a few days. The setting of some of the rooms is very unique around a pond (without mosquito's... I don't know how they do it), but the rooms themselves are a bit worn. The trips and other entertainment and wellness services are great.
The only negative point was the putrid stench that was often around in the reception and restaurant area, which requires a bit more eco-friendly engineering. If it were not for the latter, I would have given the resort as 'very good'.

We stayed in Paya for 7 nights and had a fantastic trip. The team under GM Rama were excellent with shout out to the front office reception ladies, Wong and Roby in the Restaurant and Shamsur in Housekeeping who never stopped smiling. The food in the evenings was very nice and reasonably priced and it was a lovely convenience to have a well stocked shop on site at affordable prices. Rooms were comfortable (we stayed in Poolside (2 nights) and Superior Beach front (5 nights) and had all the basic necessities with the exception of a minibar/fridge which was a disappointment. Also, the pool was not very clean and we preferred swimming in the sea only a few metres away. Also, it was a little disappointing that there were no sunloungers available on the resort to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and sea view. Overall it was a great family holiday in a very chilled out environment and would recommend to other travellers.

We (family of 4 adults) stayed at Paya Beach Resort for 4D 3N. Overall it was a fantastic stay especially since it's our first time on the island. When we arrived, there were heavy drizzles as it was monsoon season but it stopped towards the evening and the weather after that was just perfect. It rained heavily on our 2nd and 3rd night but thankfully only at late night and sunny during the days.
Check in was smooth, we took the full board package which includes meals and 3 free activities (snorkeling, yoga by the beach and jungle trek to Rockfall). The beach is quite clean and the water is clear. Many live corals and a variety of fishes can be seen at the beach. The food overall was pretty basic, not that much of variety and on certain days were pretty disappointing but thankfully some of their ala carte dishes were really good.
We took 2 rooms, beach front chalet and standard chalet which were located next to the Spa. Rooms are pretty run down, the water in the bathroom is not clean. You can see murky water in the bowl. Basic amenities were there, except there's no mini fridge available in the Standard Chalet. Wooding floor was very cracky, you can see visible holes on the floor. AC was cold and good fortunately. Since the rooms were only used for sleeping, we didn't dwell on these issues.
Staff were friendly and curteous overall, especially in the resort. They met all our expectations. All 4 of us tried the Spa and it was simply on of the best we had, all of us felt super recharged the next day. We did kayaking and this is where I have to share my disappointment. There was no one there to help us push our kayaks into the sea and no one to actually help or brief you if it's your first time trying it out. You're pretty much on your own and we had a problematic kayak.
Snorkeling was the highlight of this trip, the first stop especially. I only wish it was longer. The second stop was a total waste because it was at a beach which was crowded and the water was too cloudy to see anything, no corals just random fishes here and there. It would have been better if it was just at that first stop (in the middle of the sea) and that alone would have amazing! Some upgrades need to be made at the resort but overall we had a pleasant stay and looking forward to coming back someday!

With the hustle and bustle of the city life, and just after battling the lockdowns of the recent pandemic, taking a quick break for emotional and mental recuperation is very much needed.
This resort fits the bill perfectly. It's only a few meters from the jetty and with a paved walkway makes its easy to just wheel your luggage. The staff are friendly and helpful, from the requests to the inquiries. There is a restaurant and bar, a pool, a recreational activities booking stall and most of all it has its own beach front.
The beach front room is just right. Not too big and not too small. It has two queen sized beds and a back and front veranda which makes it a great place to hang out and just chill.
Special thanks to Justin, Fiyda and Azizul for making our stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

We have a fun time staying in Paya Beach Spa and Resort Tioman. We took the Cataferry this time. Travelling by Cataferry to Paya Beach Spa and Resort was smooth. It only took approx 1 1/2 hours trip.
When we arrived in Paya Beach Spa and Resort, our luggage was placed in buggy - thumbs up for Paya Beach Spa and Resort to provide this service, without us lugging our luggage all the way from the jetty.
We booked a standard Beach front room which is clean and comfortable.
Buffet Breakfast have many varities of food. Even though we stay for 5 days we manage to taste different dishes everyday. Cause they have a rotating menu
Food service and room service is very good and excellant.
Over all we have a very enjoyable time and a pleasant stay in Paya Beach Spa and Resort.
We coming for back for another stay in this Paya Beach Spa and Resort soon.....

Kogi was great at accomodating us and even giving us a free bbq dinner due to some issues with getting our rooms orginally.
Immaculately kept and with Maxis mobile there is 4G. So I was able to work and even have Zoom and Skype calls with Europe at great speeds.

Standard 2 star hotel accommodation. Common area around the resort is ok. Breakfast is meh. Dinner is way overpriced and one of the salted dish i ordered tasted like the usual salted powder that you can get for a cheaper price in KL. The beach is very rocky and not nice. Colour is like Port Dickson beach. Kg Salang’s beach and sea is nicer with corals. Plenty of options outside the resort for food, but the taste is so so. The good thing about the resort is the water activities price is reasonable and I enjoyed it. Spa is overrated. It looks like some cheap spa and service is not that fantastic. Overall, i think i wont come back here next time. Maybe to Kg Salang (Salang Sayang) where you open the chalet door and straight away step on the beach and dive into the sea to see the beautiful corals.

We booked 2 rooms in total. Superior Chalet and Pool View. It was a group travel booking (via online travel agency). Since it was a group thing, we went to front desk and ask for upgrade (of course it was not allowed), so we asked for cancel and rebook directly. Then we went for our diving session and head back hotel late evening.
Then we received from our OTA email late 11pm saying that hotel did not allow free cancel, only 50% refund. Of course we are not happy with the decision and asked for the earlier room back, but hotel say their reservation team said already cancel and we are not allowed to get back our room, and the team said the decision was from their Central team which is from Singapore, and they cant override their decison.
I understand that this is not up to the FD staff, hence i waited for the second day to call to SG office. Called 12 times, only picked up once, asked to leave my personal details and they will call back . But it's 3 days since, i am not receiving any calls from the hotel.
Conclusion - I understand that Covid-19 situation is making travel industry difficult, but this is not the right way to do busines. I am still waiting for your call.
Please call me back and sort this out.

We arrived by Bluewater ferry at the hotel around 9 30am and were checked in to our room at 11.30 am. U need to pay RM 200 deposit. We stayed for 5 days 4 nights at the seaview room 905 which had 2 Queen size bed that fits the 3 of us perfectly. The room has double frontage 1 side facing the sea and the other side facing the pool which was great. A few steps to the beach where we spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the seaview. Sadly no mini fridge to keep our drinks cold other than that everything in the room was in good condition. Our room was cleaned every day. U need to refill bottled water everyday.
On our 2nd day we did snorkelling to 4 different locations which was great fun. We upgraded our stay to 3 days 2 nights fullboard snorkelling package and add on coral snorkelling.
The Breakfast and lunch was OK but we really enjoyed the dinner buffet plus a la carte menus.
U can do snorkelling at the beach too. We upgraded our room to deluxe seaview which has a living area, outdoor shower and a loft for kids to sleep on.
On our last day we did ATV ride through the jungle plus hiking to see Willow Tree and Rock Fall which was lovely. ATV ride was really challenging not for the faint hearted.
We had a lovely seafood dinner by the beach kudos to the chef. We loved the night ambience too.
Thank u to Mr. Rama and all the staff for making our birthday stay a memorable one.

No parasailing,no cake
For kids there’s a swimming pool
You can book ferry tickets at the pier. We booked through the resort and arrived at pier to find out resort had not purchased our tickets. We had to buy tickets again. Upon arrival at resort and proving to front desk we had to repurchase tickets, they refunded our tickets they had collected money for. A major hassle overall
Yes, you can. But avoid the rush hours, it would be super crowded at station and take long time to wait. Btw, you also can take the train, it will be more easier and faster.
