Had the most amazing stay here with a friend. Right from the beginning we were met on the jetty by the owner, Tony, who took us to the bar for a lovely welcome drink. It was served to us by Jay, who became a highlight of our trip with his smiling service and delicious daiquiris. Over the course of our stay, all staff went above and beyond to show us around and make us feel at home. From arranging last minute day trips for us, or accommodating certain meal preferences, the service was second to none. Even when our ferry changed last minute, Tony and his daughter, Sophia, woke at 5am to take us to the ferry terminal in the dark. The beach was stunning and the sunset views were amazing. Our room was clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view over the beach. It’s worth knowing that there is currently no WiFi connection, but it actually makes it a welcome retreat. I believe they are currently getting a cable in place, but you really see the benefit of switching off. Will definitely be recommending this place to others and hope to be back one day. Thank you so much to Tony and the team!

I would like to say a big thank you to Sofia and her team (and the very nice and professional Jay) for making our stay so smooth and enjoyable. Sofia was super professional and helpful during the whole stay. The resort is very nice and family/kids friendly. We traveled there with our 9-month-old baby and we had a great time. The resort is quiet and beautiful. The food is nice as well ! We really appreciate the whole stay and the team. The resort has a friendly and family vibe which makes you feel comfty and "at home". Again, a big thank you to Sofia and her team for making it memorable. We also loved the fish feeding at night, we could see lot's of sharks! the only downside would be the poor internet connection, but it's the same on the whole island !

Minang Cove's charms are many: location, location, location! Beach-front on tioman. Far enough away from the jetty to feel like its your own private island. Close enough you're not enduring an endless private boat ride after your ferry trip... The rooms are spartan. The food is mostly buffet - a blend of western and Malay. We have a picky teenage eater. He did fine. You don't come for the food. Great bar. Great service and staff. Why Tioman - and specifically Minang Cove: the crystal blue water. The perfect cove for kids to swim. Family snorkeling off of an extremely healthy reef right off the beach. Plus a certified dive master and boat straight from the resort at a super reasonable rate. They offered kayaks, snorkel gear, beach toys for kids. Plus the beach furniture was in really good shape - so you could actually relax beachside in comfort. We had a 16-year old, two 8 year olds and two five year olds and four adults. Everyone found their groove. The resort has a private freshwater spring - so the drinking water was filtered off of that. Good bathrooms and access from the beach. And the staff was so kind. They let my daughter play with the kitten near the kitchen. Sophia - the proprietor's daughter - was our amazing bar tender and child-entertainer. She had the kids doing jumps off the pier into the clear deep blue water. And the secret adventure of minang cove - the evening reef shark feeding - it dazzled everyone. (and we all felt very safe swimming in the water the next day.) THANK you Sophia!! A great four day family vaca. Loved loved it.

We had a lovely stay here. Very peaceful, beautifully maintained, on a private beach with good snorkelling right out front. Great for wildlife spotting with large black squirrels, lizards, monkeys and so many butterflies. The accomodation is spacious with a lovely balcony to enjoy the breeze and enjoy the view. Everyone working here was delightful, giving top-class service. And every meal we had was delicious. We walked to the local village, but mostly we just chilled out. There’s shark-feeding to watch each night, and we saw turtles each day. We will be back.

Shout out to TJ and Sophia for the great hospitality! Their staffs were as amazing as well! Our family bunk was as relaxing for a soundless sleep, with beach view and ocean sound. The beach was the best. Perfect for little ones to learn ocean swimming. The most thrilling part? Sharks at the jetty on every nights! Will definitely repeat this trip, TJ! Will be there for the whole week! Keep in mind : the Rooms were at hill side. Need to climb up a handful of stairs. Athritis/stroke patient might need to contact them first for assistant.

I didn’t have the pleasure of staying at the hotel because of Covid-19 travel ban and I really regret it. I eventually had to cancel my holidays altogether. I wanted to point out that the hotel management had been very helpful when it came to cancelling my booking and refunding my deposit. Great experience ! I am hoping that I will have another opportunity to stay at Minang Cove.

We chose the Minang Cove because we wanted a small and quiet resort. The hotel is surrounded by jungle and the only access is by complimentary speed boat. Actually, there is nothing we do not like in this resort but here are 2 tips for this hotel: + Do bring water shoes + If you are not OK with stairs, check for the best room for you at the time of booking. Some rooms are gorgeous but involve some stairs. The plus from this hotel: The staff is genuinely friendly and helpfull. The manager is very effective and every effective and every issue/request is immediately taken care of. The food is very good. We stayed 5 nights and we had something different every day. The carte for the lunch offers both Asian and Western food for a fair price. Diving and snorkeling excursions are proposed at the hotel There are many fishes to see directly from the hotel beach. Great location, we will go back.

We stayed 6 nights at Minang Cove in a beachfront deluxe chalet. It was a lovely quiet time of year and during our stay guest numbers ranged between 5 and 12. It was like having our own private island resort. If you are looking for a holiday to purely relax, read a book, go snorkeling and get away from the internet and TV then Minang is for you. Whilst snorkeling is always weather dependent, Sam the dive master always found us a sheltered spot to snorkel. Ana and her team were excellent hosts, we never went hungry and Sazal makes a mean Mai Tai.!

Staff is amazing. Anna makes everything run smoothly at the resort. Sam make sure the water activities are thoroughly enjoyed even setting me at ease for my first time. Sazal makes sure you are fed and hydrated. Our snorkeling and diving excursions were terrific. Lounging at the resort in a completely relaxed state is wonderful. Scenary and sounds couldn't be better! Mattress and pillows were perfectly comfortable for us. No plumbing issues either. Our room was always clean. There is real value for the money at this fantastic place. It is nature so you can't fault the resort for having bugs and insects. The beach is very well maintained and does not have any sand flies. It is tricky to get to any other areas of the island. Not having any internet or cell service doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing if you truly want to relax.
