We had three days stay at Sepilok Jungle Resort. The room was rather modest and dated and also besides towels and liquid soap from the dispenser(towels were rather worn out),toileteries weren't included. We did not know this till we got there, good thing that we brought our toothbrushes. Bathroom clearly needed work ,the sink had chips here and there and the floor needed...

The hotel itself is a little tired, it is clean and conformable but if you are looking for somewhere to relax and spend a lot of time, there are probably nicer hotels in the area (of course budget dependent). The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful when it came to arranging trips. the rooms were quaint and fairly conformable. It...

The hotel is good for one night. Staff were helpful and friendly. It is quite dated but the room was comfortable. It is quite expensive for what you get and breakfast could be improved. The restaurant felt dark and dusty, needs a bit of tlc. We liked having a pool but the colour of it was a bit cloudy?!

The Jungle Resort may have seen better days, but the location is great, the rooms are clean, and staff is courteous and helpful. There aren't a lot of choices for hotels within walking distance of the Orangatan Sanctuary and the Sun Bear Sanctuary, and I'd say from what we saw this one was in the middle. There is another property...

I stayed here as part of a group tour. We stayed in the dorm rooms. They were very basic. The shared bathroom facilities were poor with the showers hardly producing any water pressure (probably the worst I had experienced in borneo). The breakfast included was basic but sufficient. We ate at the restaurant which also had a reasonable menu. A...

This is a basic resort but more than adequate. I was travelling with my daughter and even though we booked months in advance they gave us a room with a queen bed when I had asked for 2 singles. I was disappointed with this but then realised they had a large school group staying at the same time who would...

The staff were wonderful and nice and the grounds of the resort were beautiful and in the jungle. As an added bonus it was quite close to the Orangutan Sanctuary. The rooms were rather dated, but the included breakfast was good. The staff went out of their way to help us out.

We travelled as a family of four, 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 7 years old. We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. We booked two interconnecting rooms each had good air conditioning, comfortable beds (although we would have slept anywhere after travelling from the UK), and small, but functional bathrooms (shower only). Breakfast was...

Dear BoardyUK01, Thanks for choosing to stay with us. We are glad that your family have enjoyed your stay with us. In fact, we have noticed that there are more families staying with us after we have built the swimming pool. You are absolutely spot on on the gardens. We try to leave them as natural as possible and as...

This place is good for the price. It is simple rooms. The grounds are quite beautiful and the pool is really nice. It can use a bit of an update and the good can be improved as we chose to eat at the nature resort for dinners. Unfortunately our room was full of ants at one point which got into...

Dear Curtis T, Thanks for choosing to stay with us. Besides the strategic location, our resort is famous for its affordable price and we are glad that you see it the same way. I am so sorry the ants went into your luggages. November is our monsoon season and it rains a lot which means the ants are moving about....

I honestly don't understand who can rate this place as average or poor. It's great place with friendly staff. Obviously when you're in middle of no where you don't expect that it would be cheap. but the foods in restaurant were reasonable and tasty. We saw lots of wildlife during evening time (kingfisher, broadbill, flying frogs, and of all the...
