Decided at the very last minute to go to the Perhentian Islands and brave the monsoon rains. Even if it rained, at least we are not in KL. To our surprise, the weather was gorgeous. All sunny and not a drop of rain while we...More
We stayed in early February and the weather was great (what monsoon season?). Our beach side chalet was perfect for relaxing whilst looking out over Tuna Bay's white sand beach. The snorkeling directly off the beach was great and we are still dreaming about the...More

The prices for food are reasonable because the food is good and have large portions and relatively clean. A can of beer costs about 10 ringgit when we can get it in the mainland for about 7to 8 ringgit. Drinks have a variety of prices but not many are above 13 ringgit. I hope this helped.

There are other restaurants within walking distance. But they have the best food :) and such friendly service! You can also take a taxi boat to the fishing village across on Kecil: 10 ringgit trip in day time.
