I just finished reading the latest posts on Laguna Redang and feel badly that the last two reviews have not been good because it was one of the most amazing trips that I have ever had! I have travelled to beaches all over the world but never one as beautiful as this one! I stayed for two nights but could...

And really awful if you are not!!! Stayed here for 4 days in mid March and felt like I was in China rather than Malaysia. There were about 500 guests at the hotel at the time and 99% were Chinese. During the stay we've seen may be 3-5 other non-chinese couples, that's all. I don't know if there is a...

We were 2 families and ate all our meals in the resaurant where we after 2 days got very serious food poisoning, all of us and spent the rest of our stay in bed. It turned out we were not the only family as we met other families in the plane back, also still feeling bad. We mentioned it to...

We booked the 3D/2N snorkeling package and a standard room for lodging. Since a detailed description of package have been provided by previous writers I will not repeat but will add that it was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed tremendously. The staff were very courteous, food was excellent and the resort was brilliant As regards the standard room I...

Just got back from Laguna a couple of days ago and we had a really fun time. Did the 3d/2n meal/snorkeling package so we were always busy eating, sleeping, or snorkeling. The rooms are quite large and really clean. Bed was very comfortable. Nice size balcony. I'm not big on buffets but was pleasantly surprised at the selections. The pool...

Stayed there from the 3rd of March till 7th of March. Was initially looking at Langkawi but noticed Redang was opened for seasons again, so booked it. Do note they are subjected to Monsoon, if I'm not mistaken, Redang is open from March - May, and Sept - Nov, the other 6 months they are closed due to Monsoon. Anyways,...

After living in Malaysia for a couple years I have become accustomed to mediocre hotels at luxury prices. I stayed at Laguna Redang last weekend on a package deal that included 2 nights and 6 meals and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is on one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, and rivals only Perhentian in Malaysia. The...

When we were planning a beach getaway to Malaysia last year we started out looking on the West Coast... and then we met with a travel agent who was actually from Malaysia... She promised us a MUCH better time at HALF the price if we holidayed off the East Coast on Redang Island.... She. Was. Not. Wrong. This hotel has...

The structure is relatively big and rather crowded. So, don't expect to feel like robinson crusoe. It is more towards mass tourism. Many people on the beach, resto is buffet like etc etc. Having said this, the rooms are OK, the staff is kind, the beachs are white san, the sea wonderful. In general, the Perenthian islands are worth the...
