We were contemplating multiple hotels and we were so glad that we chose this location. We booked a delux room, which comes with two double beds and more importantly a private bathroom. The hotel is stocked with hand and seperate body soap and basics for towels and hand towel. La Omaja is located on the quiet side of the island,...

I don't even know where to begin on the list of positives at La Omaja. It's amazing. The view, the pool, the staff, the beautiful rooms and hot showers. Ometepe Island is magical, and La Omaja makes it paradise. You will not find a better sunset view in all of Nicaragua, and the pool and restaurant are an added bonus....

Situated on the smaller dormant volcano, Maderas, it is about an hour from the ferry port at Moyogalpa ($30 transfer in taxi). The hotel is on a hill with a fabulous westerly view out over Lake Nicaragua and the volcano Conception. So you get some lovely sunset shots up by the infinity pool. The pool is small but perfectly adequate...

This was a nice hotel but there was not much to do so other than the small pool it is really just a stop over on route to somewhere else. The rates were good and there was hot water which there isn't in all hotels.

We stayed at La Omaja in December 2016. The views were absolutely incredible. The staff and owner were very accommodating and worked to make sure we were well looked after. The community of travelers who were staying at La Omaja when we were really only enhanced our experience.

This spot was booked for me by a guide, and it was amazing. It's way out on the road around Volcan Maderas, after the pavement ends. Rough road. You'll need a high clearance or 4WD vehicle, especially if it rains. Off road moto, bike, or horse will also work. The drive is great. It's located in Merida, a very small...

The sunset at la omaja is probably the best we have ever seen anywhere. The pool is a good place to spend the day and the staff is really friendly. They can arrange a lot of tours and taxi drives. The lodges are clean and the beds are the best we had so far in Nicaragua. The lodges have a...

So thankful we found this place as it was recommended in a review on how to tour Ometempe Island. It has absolutely everything you could for in a small hotel. First off we love that it was a small hotel! Quiet and quant, have the amenities basically to yourself, awesome. The view is spectacular! It overlooks Lake Nicaragua and Concepcion...

We loved la Omaja! We spent three nights there for our honeymoon and the hotel staff made it really special for us and even put flowers in our room and served some yummy brownies. Darwin and Horacio and everyone were so friendly. Example: we were afraid of some bugs and they went the extra effort to explain that some bugs...
