This was an excellent choice before heading up to Machu Picchu the next monrning. A real treat. We stayed in a room with an Open Fire Place, dinner was included, very romantic. Loved the gardens and the exotic birds.

After coming down from a whole day on Machu Piché, this was a rewarding meal. As I accidently left my wallet on the dining table on the outside deck at night, after settling the bill, I was stunned to be greeted at the train station before boarding the train by members of the staff who had be looking for me...

This was the last hotel in our 3 week exploration of Peru. It is nice. Vast secluded property - separated from town. Clusters of rooms in casitas - some with fireplaces. Lobby with bar and restaurant was comfortable. The food was good but not great. The service was good but not great. The property is about 25 years old and...

We arrived at this hotel after a terrible time at their sister resort in Urumbamba and the Vistadome train so were not in the best frame of mind. From the start the staff were perfect even taking details of our troubles to pass on to management. Our room was a cottage in the gardens and beautifully presented. It was not...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights in April 2017 while visiting Machu Picchu. The hotel is in Aguas Calientes, which is the closest town to the site. We stayed here before doubling back to Cusco--turned out to be a great way to slowly acclimate to the altitude. It is about 7000ft (2000m). There aren't any cars in...

While as a location and setting this hotel was beautiful, I felt that there was not really the type of personalised experience that was available in a lot of the Peruvian luxury hotels. Rooms were good and comfortable and dining experience was reasonable. I would say it was an overall fair experience.

This is a lovely, tucked-away resort in the midst of a touristy town. While the town is overrun with t-shirt and other tourist stores (many tacky) and packed with tourists, the Inkaterra is a quiet getaway with individual cottages that include fireplaces, refrigerators and all with private baths-- all in the midst of beautiful natural gardens and greenery. Also has...

We thoroughly enjoyed ours tay at the inkaterra. The room was impeccable, the staff kind, the food delicious and the grounds beautiful - a wonderful garden full of orchids, butterflies and hummingbirds along the river. Highly recommend!

This is the best hotel in Aguas Calientes. Stayed for 2 nights. Quality hotel with great rooms. Dinner and breakfast were included in our booking, which was great. The staff as expected were fantastic. Didn't spend much time at the hotel, as were up the mountain during the day. But there are Nature Walks, the Orchid Trail, massage and spa...

Spent two nights here for our visit to Machu Picchu. The village of Aguas Calientes is quite small and compact and this resort sits at one end of the village. You are steps from the train, a short walk to where you get the public buses to Machu Picchu and just steps from the village, which is mainly restaurants, and...
