Stayed here one night, before going up to Machu Picchu. Great hotel, nice rooms with all amenities you need, cosy lounges with fireplaces. Moderate food in the restaurant. The service there was slightly slow.

The hotel is located right next to machu picchu train station so you just need to walk 5min to the hotel while they have staff taking care of your luggages. The hotel is very peaceful, surrounded by greenery and water, the rooms are villas, very large and comfortable. We had the room 48 which is great for a family :...

An absolute oasis but situated only minutes from the railway. Totally committed to protecting the environment and providing guided walks as already mentioned. (Visit the rescued bears if you have time.) Would love to have had a longer stay

This is a wonderful hotel in Aguas Calientes to use as a base for Machu Picchu. It is right in the jungle and the rooms are very nice. The service was wonderful. We didn't have time to take advantage of the excursions they offer, but they sound great. It is a bit away from the town, which is nice.

Inkaterra is a beautiful hotel located in a little town in the skirts of Machu Picchu. The rooms are spacious and confortable with a fireplace which at nights gets very cozy. The activities which the hotel provides are well organized and fun. The restaurant is very good and gives you many options with local and international options. It's surrounded by...

Stayed at the hotel specifically for the Eco Center excursions and environmentally friendly aspect of the hotel. Did not disappoint! The grounds were gorgeous and quiet, very nice after a long day at Machu Picchu. We booked the Twilight Tour and Spectacled Bear Tour. Our six year old loved the bears! The walk to them was very nice through the...

The hotel is located beside the train station, so you can leave 10 minutes before your train leaves to cuzco and be on time. The food is great, the service is excellent and most of all the casitas are extraordinary. I would totally recommend this hotel and would love to return.

The big plus of this Inkaterra hotel is its obvious commitment to the environment. We went on two nature walks--one bird watching and one for orchids--that were stunning. The "ranger" guides were articulate and informed. We were thrilled to spot the national bird of Peru: the bright red Cock of the Rock. We also visited the spectacled bears refuge, which...

We thought originally we would pay the exorbitant cost of the Belmond up in Machu Picchu itself which incidentally looks like a 3 star hotel. In contrast the Inkaterra looks like a bargain. The only downside is the fact it takes you 30 minutes to get up the bus station at the top. including the 5 minute walk from the hotel...

This is the second Inkaterra facility that I stayed in during my Peru trip. It is good but the service, food and the room is not comparable to the one in Cusco. However it makes up by its fantastic surroundings and proximity to Machu Picchu. The casita is semi-detached and all necessary amenities are provided for within it. Very comfortable...
