We spent 3 nights here with friends, awaiting customs clearance for our cars. Despite arriving after the evening meal had finished, we were made to feel more than welcome and provided with a good hot meal and welcoming beer. Martin and Ursula, our hosts were an absolute delight and extremely helpful in smoothing our onward passage. This little Eco resort... More

Nice place to get away from the noise and crowds of Saint Louis. A simple lodge and camp ground just 30 minutes from town in the middle of the Langue de Barbarie national park. It is protected from the rough ocean by a barrier island, but hurry since that protection might be gone in the future. Family friendly and reasonably... More

Stayed here for 2 amazing weeks. The camp site is set in a beautiful location on the beach. You can use their canoes for explore the estuary that passes by. The showers and toilets are fine, and you can use their electricity to charge up devices. The staff are so friendly and the food just amazing (very reasonable). Will be... More

I stayed a small week in this paradise on earth in one of the small bungalows. I highly recommend anyone to stay here if they think about visiting saint-louis. Here you'll get a setting that is beautiful and still close to saint-louis. If you want to visit the city you just ask the staff to call a taxi or you... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Zebrabar, during our New Years' celebration, with our daughter, who is a Peace Corps volunteer. We found the location, accommodations, atmosphere, food, and beverage selection a wonderful surprise. Ursula and her staff were very accommodating! And the "spread" for the New Years' fest was exceptional. We would stay at Zebrabar again without... More

This place is a haven. Peaceful and beautiful. The owners are very nice and welcoming. The bungalows are spartan but very clean and reasonably priced. Food is delicious and copious. I stayed here several times, including on New Year's Eve, and enjoyed every second. I highly recommend it!!

Nice and quiet place with beautiful nature all around. Loved the simple set up, the owners (forgot their names) were amazing. Great atmosphere! We also loved the food and all the staff were really friendly for me and my kids. Loved the solar power and the really hot water coing out of the shower (which is rare in Senegal). The... More

I spent the weekend at the Zebrabar with a group of my friends to celebrate my birthday. It was a beautiful getaway and unlike the other crowded/touristy beaches of Senegal. We pitched our tents, drank cold beers, enjoyed a delicious BBQ, kayaked along the Senegal River, and danced to some wonderful music. It's hard to find such a peaceful place... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Zebrabar is the alternative to 'normal' beach holidays. Directly on the sandy beach of the salt river Senegal we built a camping area, bungalows, a restaurant and a tower with a panoramic view, all respecting ecological criteria. Zebrabar is also for Ornithologists and Birdwatcher a unique destination located within the national park 'Langue de Barbarie', well known for its fauna rich with a lot of different birds (pelicans, flamingos, etc.). The park can be reached by fishermen's pirogue or by boats of the Zebrabar. ... more   less
