A small private hotel on our way to Kotor bay; the owner is a friendly person, we were invited for a beer and and glass of wine as welcome drink. The room was ok, even with a little balcony, just the bathroom was a bit small. Breakfast was excellent, we could drink our coffee in the garden. In the evening we went to the restaurant Splendido, 5 minutes away, excellent fish. So, as a resume: perfect overnight stay!

This was our 3rd visit to Herzog Novi and 3rd time at Bokeska Noc. Bozidar Stanisic’s jewel of a small hotel overlooking Kotor Bay is a respite in paradise. It is a small, family-run establishment of about 12 rooms—intimate, romantic, unique, comfortable, Old World. I suppose one would call it a bed and breakfast in the USA. Bozidar and his wife spare no detail of hospitality; they prepare and serve a most sumptuous breakfast everyday. They are attentive to their guests’ needs and assist whenever possible to accommodate, whether it is obtaining medication at a pharmacy, getting a guest to the bus station, or even giving a lift up the hill to Savina Monastery to attend a church service! Bokeska Noc is a memorable life experience—I left this 3rd visit with tears in my eyes, wondering when I would be able to return.

My wife and I came to Montenegro with friends who have been before. They suggested the Bokeska Noc (Night Bay) in Herceg Novi. It’s a small hotel with 12 rooms operated by a very friendly husband (speaks English) and wife team. Price includes a fabulous home cooked breakfast on the sunny patio overlooking Kotor Bay- this the name- looking out onto the Adriatic. Upstairs rooms 2 thru 4 have balconies with spectacular views. Rooms are clean and comfortable- bathrooms are tiny but quite functional. A semi-private staircase leads from the side of the hotel down about 100 ft to a wide paved walkway. Hop off the walkway onto a narrow pebble or sand beach and take a swim in crystal clear bay. Or walk in either direction for a few miles. One way is restaurants, bars, an old Spanish Fort and old town Herceg Novi with a peaceful center square with a huge outdoor cafe. Walk the other way and you pass more restaurants on the Bay. Quiet spot to relax and it is well located for excursions up the coast to Dubrovnik (40km), inland north to Durmitor Park or Bosnia-Herzegovina, or south to Kotor and beyond.

This hotel is located about a 10 minutes walk out of the main old city. It is no problem to walk to old town from here on the promenade. Very pleasant. There are two nice restaurants on the water that are only a few minutes walk. Free parking right in front of hotel if you have a car. The view of the bay from our room and balcony was lovely. Room was adequate size. They could use some new pillows as they were flat and bed was a little too firm for but for a couple nights it was ok. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. It included yogurt, bread, fruit, walnut pastry (yum), two hot items that were different each day(crepe, cheesy ham toast, cheese topped aubergine, for example), coffee, tea, water and orange juice. The family could not have been nicer and more helpful. English spoken by some. Definitely would not hesitate to stay here again.

Owner, Bozo was friendly, helpful and welcoming from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we were welcomed with a beer and a beautiful view from our balcony, room was comfortable and clean and fine for two adults and a child, and the breakfast, wow! the breakfast, eaten on the beautiful terrace with sea view, an endless stream of freshly cooked food, different each morning, Bozo not taking no for an answer, fresh bread, pastry, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cooked meat, juice, coffee, eggs, it goes on. Bozo also looked after our luggage as we had a late flight, offered us a shower and clean towels so we could spend our last day at the beach and sent us home with some lovely biscuits. He also saved us when our taxi to the airport did not turn up, taking control and getting us a new taxi within 5 minutes at no extra cost. The beach is a couple of minutes away, the hotel is a little walk from the centre, maybe 10-15 mins, but it's a nice walk and you need it after that breakfast! All hotels should be like this one. 100% recommend.

We wondered whether we'd done the right thing to book a full week in a small hotel in a small city - but it turned out to be a great decision spend time in historic Herceg Novi and to be based at Garni Hotel Bokeska Noc. Near enough to the city centre via the promenade to walk off the extra generous breakfasts prepared by our host Bozidar and his wife, with the most wonderful view across the Bay of Kotor from our balcony in what is a very comfortable and well-maintained little hotel - we couldn't have asked for more! The hospitality of our hosts was the highlight - nothing was too much trouble for them.

Bozidar and his wife were incredibly hospitable. They upgraded us to an apartment upon arrival (free of charge) so that we could have more room. As a bonus, the larger space came with a spectacular view of the sea from the balcony. Breakfast was phenomenal -- home-cooked and delicious. Overall, a lovely and memorable experience thanks to our wonderful hosts!

We stayed there for 6 nights. It was a total delight. The room had a view to the sea and a lovely balcony. Bozo, the owner is a lovely person which spoiled us every morning with home made sweets. On our arrival he took care of us and received us very well with something to drink. The room was extremely clean, and also the bathroom. The cleaning lady cleaned every day and always the sheets and towels were exactly like they should be. I would definitely go again to Garni.

Enjoyed a fantastic 3 night stay here with amazing views from balcony of our top floor apartment. Nice quiet location. About 100 steps down to the small beach and easy 15 min walk into town. Bokesca, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. Nice touch like having a cold beer ready for us when we arrived. Amazing breakfast - something new every morning - sets you up for the day. Easy parking outside of the towns one way system. Would definitely recommend.
