Hotel Plaza is built-in 1981. Once it was a nice hotel, now it reminds me of a hotel from the movie Shining...It's dark everywhere, there are no lights in a hallway, only one elevator working...Food was terrible, they didn't change the tablecloths not once in 10 days. Windows and curtains were washed maybe 10 years ago. And the room...No TV (well there is one for show only, not working), no minibar. Sadly, it's still open, working. From the outside looks like a ghost city, inside is not that different. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my enemy.

What to say. We visit this hotel few years ago and we went there again because of the location and because of the beautiful sea. As well, because we were there with some other family members that we manage to see once a year. Hotel Plaza was built in Socialist Yougoslavia and seems like is still there. Absolutely nothing is changed. From the behaviour of the people to the service standards to the everything else. I was asked to remove my car from the parking area in case the director of the hotel decided to come??? I was asked to park 300 meters far from the hotel in the public parking...The boss in the Restaurant is story for himself. Always dirty in his clothes, taking food from the buffet before the guests. Tables cleaned when the staff decides to do so, not when needed. Buffet could be better but at least is always full, thanks to the inlet person who is actually working there. In general, if this hotel does not get proper management, will disappear soon. There is a lot of potential but need new management. Shame. Wonderful location but .....

Me and my friend have spent one week there. 1st advice: AVOID IT! We have booked a room on booking.com with balcony, air conditioning and others. We got a room with none of the above mentioned facilities. My friend stayed in it 10 years ago and it is well rated on booking.com. But before printing my booking confirmation I mentioned that their profile was recently created. Weird but a good option to erase bad comments. Once we got in the room and saw the difference we have talked to the reception which advised us to check tomorrow. Tomorrow was the same advice and the day after. The worst was that even before asking to lower the price if we stay in the room they told us it will be impossible. We then asked to talk to the reception manager which made us finally a price offer. On the day of the check out they told us that it will be really complicated for them to justify the lower price that the one announced on booking.com. And then my patience was over! After explaining my opinion to the manager they made us a final offer which I cannot deny was really interesting. Finally, I am thankful they made us spend as less time as possible in the hotel and enjoy the sun, coast, food and wine of Montenegro. We should mention it is really well situated with a spectacular view on the sea. Food on the half-board was good but please vary the breakfast too and stop using plastic glasses and spoons.

This hotel is the worst place I've stayed in so far (and I've been to other hotels, hostels and mountain cabins in Europe). First, we couldn't find our rooms because the hotel is a labyrinth. The key said room 336, but the receptionist told us we should go to the second floor. Since the reception was on the 8th floor, we had to go down 6 floors, then go through 2 hallways, then go up 1 floor on another staircase. From 4 elevators, only 1 worked and it stopped on every floor so it took ages to reach a certain floor. When we finally reached our rooms and entered them, we were shocked. Everything inside was old, broken, stained or falling apart. These rooms definitely haven't been renovated since the opening of the hotel in the 1970s maybe. The bathroom was very disgusting and dirty. There was only 1 stained towel in a room for 3 people. There was no hot water so we had to take a quick cold shower. The bed sheets were also with stains and holes. There were some old photo stickers on the mirror. When we moved the curtains the whole room filled with dust. The balcony door and window frames needed repainting and there was a huge pipe with mould outside the balcony. Of course, there was no wi-fi in the room but that was our smallest problem. Our reservation included a dinner but we arrived around 11pm because there was too much traffic at the border control when we entered from Croatia. The receptionist told us to go to the 1st floor to eat our dinner but when we found the restaurant it was dark and locked. We went back up to the reception, but the girl there was just repeating "go on the 1st floor, go on the 1st floor". We insisted that someone from the hotel staff come with us to show us if we were at the right place. A guy came with us and took us to the same restaurant where the lights were on this time. He knocked on the door but someone from inside decided to turn the light off instead of unlocking the door. So we decided to go to the small restaurant across the street to have a normal dinner. In conclusion, this hotel is a nightmare, avoid at all cost.

I can indicate only 2 pluses: good location (right near sea, great view from window) and good dinners with various kinds of side dishes and meat. Other than that: Hot like a hell, confusing building like a labyrinth, always queue to get into elevators, old ware in bath rooms, no air conditioning in a lot of rooms (we have a fan), cleaning maids forget to replenish shampoo all the time), no room service. And some other things that are less important... Wifi is so-so, near reception when there are no people, in other periods it's being broken...
