We stayed at Apartmani Poznanovic for one night while sighseeing in Herceg Novi. It is very central, easy walking distance to the beach, with a fairly nice view from our balcony. The host offered safe parking space while we were there. As there are many good restaurants and markets close by, we did not have any problems getting food and drink. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. We were surprised at the cramped layout and lack of utensils in the apartment. It was difficult preparing dinner for 3 adults with what was on offer. You can reach the bottom shelf of the cupboard above the sink, but for the rest you need a ladder. The cutlery was on the floor underneath the sink. It was very disappointing to find so much mold in the shower that we were hesitant using it. We appreciate that it was during the off peak season, but still would have appreciated a cleaner environment.

We were disappointed to find out that the apartment we booked was not the one pictured in the photos published on the booking.com listing. The living room/kitchenette area was much smaller, the bathroom looked older and more tired. The terrace does have nice sea views, but this gets spoilt by the fact that is is just above a busy road, so it's quite noisy when you sit out there for breakfast or dinner. Cooking in the flat was a logistical nightmare, because only 2 pots & 1 pan were provided, there were no proper knifes, and only 2 out of 4 cooking plates on the electric hob were heating up enough to actually cook on them. We even had to ask for a corkscrew as there wasn't one when we arrived. Other than that, the flat is in a good location, quite close to the seaside & old town, although you might have a problem if you don't like dogs (they have a huge German shepherd who roams free and, if you are on the ground floor like we were, might come around to your terrace, especially at meals time) or stairs (to reach the seaside and sea promenade from the flat you have to descend along some steps for about 15')

This is located about five minutes walk from the bus station, so it was great for me. It also is just over a five minute walk from Old Town. The owner is a lovely lady who gave me a glass of her home made orange and lemon juice when I arrived. I think there are 3 rooms in the apartment, but I was the only one that night. It is very large with a well equipped kitchen. The furnishings are a little dated, but that didn't matter. The bathtub is a bit stained. The view from the huge deck is wonderful. Make sure you have cash because they don't take credit cards. The lovely owner offered me more homemade juice when I was leaving, but I had to catch my bus.

We loved Herceg novi, the beach, restaurants, everything. So, my review can be a little bit subjective. Having said that, Apartments herceg novi it's a good option to stay there. Nice, big and relaxing apartments, fully equipped. They're actually quite well located, you'll get to herceg novi following the coastal route and just 150 meters before you reach local bus station you'll find Stana's place. Stana (the owner) is gentle, kind and understanding and will help you to have a pleasant stay. Keep in mind that these kind of cities were built in mountain sides and to get to the beach (by car it's only 5 minutes) you'll need to walk for 10 minutes down and 20 minutes up, or take a 2 euro taxi.

Everything worked fine. We booked transfer from Dubrovnik Airport and Sasha met us and took us to Herceg Novi. Vladislav met us at the car park in the centre and took us down the stairs to an apartment building close to the sea. So we got to stay closer to the sea than expected but it suited us perfect. Got loads of information and even got to "inspect" the apartment before accepting it. Vladislav and Dusan was very friendly, welcoming and told us loads of great information. We loved this stay and I really recommend this place and the friendly hosts :)

This place looks great on pictures only. It is located right next to main road passing through town (local magistrala) and the traffic is 24 hrs with HGV transport going up with revving engines. The fumes were unbearable and the noise so severe that even with doors fully closed it was not possible to escape it and have good night sleep. There were roughly 400 steps to the sea (eq.8 storey building) and the climbing up and down was enough for us after a first day. Relying on previous reviews and owner’s website we initially decided to stay there for 7 days however after 2 nights all we wanted was to go elsewhere as not to ruin our holiday. The owners turned out to be proper crooks as they received from us 30% deposit in advance (€210) however when we complained they requested further €200 and denied to return our passports (sic). I had to rely to assistance of local police to get our passports back and thanks to their help we get it smoothly and without further arguments. We will be back in Herceg Novi but never again we set foot in this place so called ‘apartments’.

The appartments are located very well, close to the center of the city. The rooms have all facilities required for a comfortable holiday. The only thing whcih you should consider is long steps down the sea - may be difficult for old people. The host is very nice and friendly. In general I can recommend for the young active people.

We rented the whole building (3 floors) last summer and all the rooms were clean and tidy. The rooms are spacios and the house has all the appliances you'll ever need (tableware, coffee maker, iron, TV, radio, fridge, air conditioning etc). The WiFi signal is weak, but it's ok for solving small urgent matters. I loved the enormous terrace on the ground floor, where we could gather all together (we were 16 people). They also have a parking lot, for about 6-8 cars. The Velas family are extraordinary hosts. We had our towels and lingerie changed 3 times during our 5-night stay and they even washed our dishes once, which made us feel quite sorry but still appreciative, as we didn't expect room-service :) The hosts also recommended us the best restaurant in town, called Tri Lipe, and directed us on the shortest route to Dubrovnik. So ask them if you want to avoid tolls and save time. They are really warm-hearted. The villa is positioned on the main street and near supermarkets and restaurants. Despite its positioning, i found it quiet and i wasn't disturbed by traffic noise. Altough the house has a view to the sea and it may seem close in photos, you'll have to walk down some 100 stairs (about 15-20 mins) to get there. It can be very annoying, but it's good exercise. There is nothing i can complain about. I recommend this accomodation at full heart and I hope to visit them again some time in the future.

We were extremely happy and a bit surprised about how good our stay was at Herceg Novi. Extremely good value for money. We were greeted warmly and given refreshments on arrival which was nice. The apartment was a bit dated but it was a good size having an entrance area, separate bedroom, kitchen and dining area. Kitchen had a full stove with two electric burners and a reasonable array of kitchen utensils, crockery etc. The bed was firm but comfortable. A fresh rose in the bedroom a nice touch. Bathroom was also good but it did have a hand shower. The apartment was set up for us as a one bedroom, but it appeared it could be expanded to two or three bedrooms as two doors were locked. Our apartment was on the ground floor, but bear in mind there are 41 Steps to the 2 apartments on the ground floor and more steps to others. Although if you don't like steps maybe you shouldn't come to Herceg Novi as it is known as the 'town with many steps'. The apartments are about 250m down the hill from the bus station. The old and new towns and beachside promenade are all easily accessed via either the stairs immediately across road from the apartments (well over 100 stairs I didn't count!) or there is an easier gradient from behind the bus station, both ways only take about 15 minutes. The old town and promenade are well worth a visit, a slower pace than Dubrovik but definately has its own charm. There was also free wifi provided which worked ok in the apartment.
