10/10.I visited it on September 2022 and stayed for one night. I was really excited! Excellent, clean, huge rooms, king size bed, polite and kind stuff. The food was well cooked and fresh. Breakfast and coffe were descent and I would visited it again.
Very clean hotel, value for money. The food was OK, the staff really helpful. Rooms were big and very quiet .The only problem is the location , because you will need a taxi to go to the center (costs about 3 Euros). I recommend this hotel
We stayed at Philia hotel at the beginning of November for 3 nights. We booked a triple room for 2 parents and a child. The hotel is not in the best location (not tourist area) although it is 15 min drive from the airport. The hotel is very small, no lobby area, only reception and corridors leading to rooms The room was really nice, spacious and clean. Receptionists were helpful. As we stayed there in November which is not the season time, the hotel was very quite and empty. We had half-board. Breakfast buffet and a la carte dinner. As only a few people were staying at the hotel at that time, breakfast buffet was not as rich as it is normally at 4 star hotels we stayed before but maybe it was because the hotel was nearly empty. Dinner was very basic. I think breakfast option would work better than half-board. Generally, nice stay but there is a room for improvements.…
I came back to the four star Hotel Philia in Podgorica, as I was satisfied with my stay last year; the hotel is on the way to Cetinje and to the coast. Almost all buses stop not far from the hotel. This time I got the smaller, one bed room, which I paid by Galahotels. I didn't miss larger room I had last year, as this one was large enough for me. The most important is, that the room and the bathroom were very clean and very well maintained. I had mini bar and safe in the room, I only missed tea/coffee facilities. There are no toiletteries in the bathroom, just liquid soap at lavabo and liquid soap-shampoo at the shower. The staff is kind, but I have some remarks on breakfast, which is quite rich, but the four star hotel should have even better one, First of all, orange juice is of bad quality, which I've mentionned after last year visit already. It didn't improve. The selection of bread is quite poor: There is no toaster, you can get cold pretoasted toast and no croissants. I also missed some good fish (like smoked salmon) and smoked ham, which you normally get in four star hotels. The coffee is also bad, but you can get coffee from the coffee machine, which is better. For three or two days, there was in Hotel quite a big group of Chinese tourists, which made a queu and grabbed almost all food, especially fruits, at 7 o'clock, when I am used to come for Breakfast. Usually they have, in good hotels, a breakfast room for groups and a separate one for other guests. However, I think I'll be back in this hotel next year, because of good service in the room and because of its good location on the way to the coast.…
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Philia. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the staff were very lovely. The breakfast was also delicious, as was the dinner we had at the hotel's restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel!
On suterday,19th august(a week ago) i ordered a night in this hotel.Short drive from podgorica airport (15 min.).The regeving of the room was quick and welcoming. The room was in normal size, clean but the walls are thin and we could hear noises of songs and laugh from other rooms. The restorant was good and the prices are low.(normally in montenegro)
The hotel is really nice and small enough to enjoy the stay without any busy tourist traffic during the breakfast or during the check in or check out. I have been many times in this hotel and always enjoyed the stay. I got always rooms at the last, third floor. The best view to mountain you have if you can get rooms with a view to Podgorica. Room had everything for a comfortable stay. TV, radio, mini-bar, hair-dryer. If you need something you can ask very friendly staff. During my last visit I got a room with a strange smell in the bathroom. At the next day I asked for a help and they friendly gave me another room which was perfect. In this way I suggest room in the third floor and to check first if everything is ok in your room. Breakfast is really reach for such a hotel and you could ask for another things if you like, but there were so many very good domestic dishes. …
The hotel is not in the center of Podgorica, but the local bus station is about 150 meters away and taxis are not expensive. My room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. There were mini bar, safe and, of course TV in the room, and hair dryer in the bathroom. The hotel staff is very kind and helpfulk, especially Mrs. Ana, who gave me good advise about buses for Cetinje and for Kotor. The airport is not far away, but there is no public transport to and from the airport. However, the taxi to Hotel Philia cost less than 6 euros (one way). The breakfast was tasty and abundant. I'd like to come back to this hotel.
Stayed here en route from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik and were welcomed by the efficient reception. Rooms are clean & functional but strong smell of smoke is difficult to ignore. The hotel is 3 km from the centre of Podgorica and the breakfast was adequate for the hungry traveller.
The hotel is well out of town, however as there's very little to commend the town that didn't turn out to be a problem. It was clean, but despite the no smoking notices, still smelt of cigarette smoke. The breakfast was a limited. However the staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. Unless you have to visit Podgorica I wouldn't recommend the place.
