Good hotel for reasonable price. There were some issues but the hotel is fine overall. Breakfast is good enough. The gym is pretty lousy. The view from the terrace is worth for taking the higher floor. But location isn't perfect. If you prefer walking.

Fantastic experience here. We arrived to Podgorica from Skopje at 4:15am after a long day and night of travelling. The staff went far beyond expectations and made sure we arrived safely and gave us a late check out to allow a little extra rest. Lovely big rooms, great location and very comfy bed! We will back, thank you!

Well, I have been a guest at the Aurel Hotel in Podgorica several times now! I must say that this is my first review of the facility but based on all of my experience from before. The Hotel is situated in lovely surroundings near the entrance of Podgorica (coming from Albania) and nearby there is a supermarket which is well supplied. Also, the surroundings are calm and with beautiful houses of the local population. The hotel itself is beautiful, spacious, clean, and modern. The rooms are big and clean equipped with modern and cozy furniture. The baths in the rooms are also practical and modern. The breakfast is simply perfect, while the staff is very kind and polite always looking for new ways to better serve their customers. The spa includes a jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, and warm chairs and it is cozy and nice.

First and foremost the staff. Especially Milta and Kristina. Honestly they made the whole stay so amazing. Was my first solo trip so they helped arrange a massage (with hotel discount) and always helped to call taxis and suggested fun things to do. The hotel is lovely, rooms are very clean and big and the spa area is great. Nice big jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, heated stone beds and good gym. Definitely coming back :)

A newish hotel that hasn’t grasped attention to detail in the rooms. The photos online of the outside balcony are quite deceptive on how big they are. The rooms are of average size, worn and torn areas that need to be addressed but the beds are very comfy. Breakfast- is included in the price but very limited in options and very bland. The staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful. The carpark under the hotel can get full very quickly. The spa area is ok and was nice as we went off peak so it was quiet. It’s a ok hotel for a 1 night stay.

I was staying in hotel Aurel for 1 night and it was incredible, especially reception - hats of to Mr. Marko - very efficient, very helpful and friendly, always with smile on his face. Food in restaurant was good. Room was clean, very spaceious, with nice furniture. Gym has some basic equipment, but one can squeeze decent workout out of it. All-round great experience and will definitely reutrn.

Hmmm, not the most relaxing start to my time in Montenegro. Lots of stains and scuffs and marks all over the room - including some very worn sheets. This really is a place you’d only spend one night while travelling through. Also, the central doors to staff facilities slam so loudly at all times of day, early morning and evening, that it’s not very restful. The reception staff deserve 5 stars though - they are so friendly and helpful.

There are some hotels opened recently, some with better facilities, or some addition at the breakfast table that others don’t have.... BUT ... I am absolutely sure there is no better place in Podgorica which has better service and staff than Aurel. People are making the difference; cleaning ladies, reception staff, waiters in the restaurant ... and especially restaurant manager Mr. Anatolij ... always the smile, always there, leading the lads in a calm and confident manner. Thumbs up 👍... If you are in Podgorica this is the place to stay!

Excellent service, nice collaborators. The restaurant could use some facelifting, and this draws the overall score to four stars. It is somewhat out of the centre, but close to a supermarket, and distance from the centre is even good at some unforeseen occasions so frequesnt at the Balkans. A good experience!
