This is not only a hotel, but a sightseeing of the city. The location is great. You can have a nice walk to the park and to the river and at the same time to walk to the city center. Nevertheless it is very quiet. The atmosphere is that of the communist period. The staff was helpful and the rooms big, well equipped but a little bit dated. The only thing I found average was the breakfast. There was a numerous choice but the quality not really great. Even if you don't stay there, visit the café for the great view.
Excellent location and closeness to the city staff is very kind but the hotel needs a kind of improvement generally building furniture etc. Great potential though. I would reccomend this place for a stay.
Great hotel, view, location, staff and beautiful stateroom. Old fashion architecture with a modern touch. Great restaurant with a scenic view to the Morača River. Breakfast with a unbelievable selection . Staff very friendly and courteous.
Hotel is in good location opposite the river , room had a balcony but door was hard to open and close . The room had a drippy tap and sink had a lot of cracks in it . Carpets in hallway and bedroom need replacing as stained . Size of the bedroom was good and generally ok Restaurant for breakfast was a strange combination of foods but there was something you could eat . You have to ask for coffee and they bring it to you table . Some staff never smile Hotel takes about 10 mins to get into main city centre Hotel does need some updating
Absolute disaster, service is too long, waitress in the restaurant was rood and unhelpful. Asked to speak to a manager and told there is none available. Spoke to reception who stated they would get back to us, they didnt. Save yourself the hasstle and book another hotel. NOT THIS ONE
On Friday the 19th of August we were invited to join our friend who was a resident at his hotel for some evening drinks and a meal. Our party consisted of approxiamately 23 adults and 4 minors. We had travelled from Ireland as a group to support our daughters in the European Basketball Championships taking place in Podgorica. We arrived at around 7 pm post a basketball match ,we all sat together and a lovely waiter organised tables to assist us,We then ordered one drink each and were chatting and laughing together. In or around 20 minutes after we arrived a waitress came over to us and asked us to be quiet, we had only recieved our first drink of the evening We were quite shocked by this as we were not being loud, just chatting and laughing . What suprised us mostly was the outside terrace were we were seated was empty and below by the river were the hotel is located there was a live band playing who were much louder then us. As most of the group were offended by the waitresses premature reaction to us being on the terrace outside laughing, were there was no further residents seated ,I proceeded to ask to speak to a manager to ask what was the issue,I was told that the manager was busy !!!!! LIE I wanted an explanation as to why we were being treated so. I then went to the main reception were I explained what had happened and I asked the receptionist to explain to me why we were told to be quiet when there was a band playing louder then we were speaking ,I do believe that the waitress did not like us being there but for no reason !!!! The receptionist took my e mail and promised me that I would be contacted with an explaination within 7 days and guess what NOTHING it is 12 days later and i havent heard as yet from them. Honestly the Manageress/Waitress was irritated by our pressence because we did have basketball attire on. We were in Podgorica for 12 days and every other hotels /restaurant/cafe were more then happy to oblige us.If you are in Podgorica please stay clear of this hotel. YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!!!!…
I spent a week here during a Quarantine period before heading to work. The staff were pleasant enough and the rooms were a decent size and clean. However, the food let it down. Most of the food was cold when we received it and there was limited choices throughout. If the hotel could have supplied a better choice and provided hot food I would have happily given a 4 rating.
This hotel should be on the tourist map because it has all the charm from when it was first built. If it doesn’t end up as the setting for a Netflix series I will eat my hat. To say this place is a time warp does not do it justice; it isn’t shabby or unloved, on the contrary, great care has been taken to preserve its ‘60s. aesthetic. From the fishtank in the spiral staircase in reception, to the gorgeous browny-orange rooms and luxe deep red corridors, to the Barbican-esque balconies. This place is a 007 dream next to the river Morača! THANK YOU Svetlana Kana Radević - the first female Montenegrin architect. This is the most beautiful building in Podgorica - they should protect it at all costs. If this were in England it would be Grade II listed. An absolute JOY.
Nice location, super close to old town. Free outdoor parking. The hotel is a little dated, but clean. Our room had a balcony with a wonderful view of the Moraca. The restaurant had very good food & service. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful. Very good price for what we received.
Great location and basically a "historic" property with noted brutalist architecture. Rooms are pretty updated but overall the hotel is a little dated. The staff is friendly and the food is pretty good, it's great to sit out on the terrace restaurant at breakfast and at dinner in the evening.
