Good location, good service, friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, good size of room. Close to old city center, everything within walking distance. Breakfast from a la cart menu, not a buffet. There are rooms with terrace and room without terrace.
We ended up here after our tour company had to move us from initial spot due to some local tensions. It is centrally located and within walking distance of the old town, shops, restaurants. You do have to enter through a cafe bar that is consistently filled with smokers. Staff are friendly and efficient. Rooms are clean and modern with good AC, amenities etc. Included breakfast was simple and plentiful. Covid considerations: no masks common, you must eat inside for breakfast, lots of outdoor dining options nearby
In Podgorica for a night, the travel company booked us here; we left satisfied. Read on for details. Located on a busy street, the entry way to the hotel lobby takes you through a cafe/dining area that was continually populated by smoking men. The lobby staff was friendly and fluent in English (and probably a bunch of other languages, too.) The rooms are modern, comfortably sized with modern furniture. The desk was very usuable with an electric outlet well-located. There were no USB ports. The bathroom was also modern and just a little too small with the bathroom door limited by the position of the toilet. The bed and pillow were on the firm side and, for me, comfortable. The night was quiet. Coffee was not available until 6am. The breakfast menu was limited and is really focused on eggs and meat while offering a vegeterian omelette, which I ordered. It was WAY SALTY. Hey...I can salt my own eggs if I want. The orange and apple juice came from a nearby machine. Actually, not juice but probably an "orange drink" with a tiny percent of juice; mostly sugar water. As the night was comfortable and quiet, I'd stay here again, but I'd make sure the kitchen didn't pre-salt my food.…
We had been on the road a long time, with difficulty. Hotel staff greeted us with perfect English and efficiency. At first glance, because of the road we took to get there, it looked like the hotel was in the middle of nowhere. Not so: out the door, turn left, and everything's nearby. This will be a short review because really everyone went out of their way to answer our many questions and make us feel welcome. The room had the smallest hotel safe we had ever seen, and anyway, it was broken and useless. (Staff immediately offered use of the hotel's main safe.) Each room apparently has its own Wi-Fi server, which was new to us, and when Wi-Fi briefly caused a problem, we were offered the server from the room next door. Well done! Would we stay here again? Yes, unquestionably. New Star had everything we really needed.…
Friendly and efficient staff with solid English knowledge. Suitcases was carried from the bus to the reception. Clean everywhere. Breakfast with some nice surprises as for instance pan cakes. Bar at the top floow. Room had the right size, mini bar in the room, although it did not contain much. After several days the wi-fi functioned flawlessly.
I spend in this hotel one night on the business trip. Hotel is small but clean and nice. Rooms are big and comfortable. The only thing missing was hand soap, l mean it was there but in very unconvinient packaging. Hotel is not close to center but it is close to Mall of Montenegro shopping center. I did not try food so l can not comment.
An exceptional new hotel, just 5 minutes from the center of the city. Rooms were large and comfortable. Hotel staff was amazing, kind, helpful and smiling! Food was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay! We didn't expect to find such a hidden diamond in a small city such as Podgorica!
Too be honest Hotel New Star was pretty faultless , i am quite easily pleased. Nice rooms , clean and tidy , working showers and safes . Good bar , helpful staff throughout , Good WI-FI , Breakfast a little unusual for the average Brit , but plenty of choice. Great location for exploring Old Town walking distance to all good bars and restaurants
A nice, friendly place to stay. I stayed for only two days but I enjoyed my accomodations. The beds are really comfortable. One thing you should take note is that the hotel is located far away from any major attraction.
10 Euro taxi ride from the airport, or 10-15 minute walk from the bus station. Probably the easiest 30 second check in i have ever had at a hotel! All staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was a good size, comfortable bed, good wifi. Minibar, TV with good selection of channels. The hotel pictures are accurate. Nice bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast was good, a nice selection of hot nd cold dishes, and good coffee. The first morning the breakfast room was under the control of a large group of Chinese tourists, staying at the hotel. But there are a lot of places to sit also outside the main breakfast room, and the staff are nice and relaxed. Good location near the old town and clock tower. Easy check out, and everything correct. Very good value for money.
