Beautiful island that my friend and I stayed at. Caught a boat from the main island there. Which was only 20 or so minutes away. Dinner was amazing, ate some Tongan dishes there. Their cultural night was amazing too, seeing lil tongan kids perform their traditional dances. Stayed in the fale with an outdoors bathroom. Very secluded and private. Enjoyed... More

We spend an amazing week on the wonderful FaFa Island! It is soooo relaxing and management and staff cater to every detail and request. The fale is comfortable, love the garden bathroom. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (hammock and deck chairs) to relax and enjoy your book or sleep. zzzz. Snokelling, kayaking and swimming from anywhere on the island... More

I went here with a friend on a day trip. Its a lovely island with a nice resort built in a sympathetic way. There is a beautiful little library, nice restaurant overlooking the beach and its a great place to forget everything and just relax. It is worth noting that its not particularly a place to go swimming unless you... More

The island is a 45 min boat ride from the mainland, and about an additional 30 mins for the transfer from the airport. Everything went smoothly for us, even though it was an evening arrival. The fales (ie rooms) are well spaced out and each had its own entrance through the garden, with a clearing outside with loungers. From there... More

We concur with the majority of the reviews; it's a great site for a "do nothing much" vacation. We had a full week here without leaving the island. I'll mention just a few aspects that might be helpful for older guests. We arrived in the dark off the evening Auckland 'plane. The wharf was pitch black and had uneven levels,... More

We were there for the whale watching and stayed 3 nights. The staff is very helpful, the food is good, the room is nice. Maybe a long stay is too much because the island is quite small. The massage is at 80 TOP (1 hour) We highly recommend the half day main island tour that Fafa island can organize (the... More

Fabulous spot only 1/2 hour boat ride from Tonga'tapu. Only 13 fales on the island - could not fault the meals - they were so delicious!!! Lovely staff - Vili, Lucy, Louisa plus others. Fales superb - large beds - outdoor bathrooms - separate dressing rooms. Kayaks, snorkelling gear, library etc all free to use. A small island - only... More

Have just stayed on the island for 7 nights, and what an amazing place. From the boat ride out to the island to the friendly staff and comfortable fale I couldn't fault it. Spent the week totally relaxing, swimming, reading and having an amazing time. Would recommend to anyone wanting a slice of paradise. Can't wait to return..
