We should have stayed for more than 2 days as this accommodation for us without a doubt was the most outstanding place in Sri Lanka . Everything was exceptional Large spacious rooms, hot showers and fantastic local cuisine. Swimming pool and river to swim in. Staff were very friendly and accommodating , great value for money .

Stayed two nights in room 1 and 2 (great wifi) and good pool and next to a river; not that far from Dambulla. Had lunch which was good and breakfast (once with lovely Sri Lankian local bread). Friendly people. Price quality a very good place; mix between locals and foreigners. All the comfort you need and large rooms (some insects...

We stayed two nights. No one was in the reception desk. The WiFi didn't work at all at any rooms except at the reception desk, we have to go there if we want to use it. Both of us complained about the WiFi many times, but the customer service socks with bad atittude! It seems like that they don't care...

We had a very relaxing time at the Family Park. The Park is set in several acres along the river bank, and you can enjoy swimming in the river as well as use of the pool. It is great to have your meals out side on the terrace overlooking the river, watching the King fishers and humming birds. While the...

we loved the woodland setting of these rooms and the wonderful large pool close to the river, where you can swim whilst watching king fishers and other birds fly between the trees. Staff were very kind. Evening meal was superb value, loads of it and delicious. Rooms are basic (ours was called deluxe but there are some more expensive) There...

I went there twice during my official visit to Dambulla. I loved this place and would recommend this place to anyone who loves the nature, peacefulness. The swimming pool looks great and the rooms are also spacious. I would definitely visit there with my friends soon.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel is just ten minutes' drive from the Dambulla rock temple, Dambulla town or the Cricket stadium, and just twenty to thirty minutes from Sigiriya or to Habarana from where you can have an elephant safari at the Minneriya Sanctuary. Ideal for relaxing evenings after visiting the ancient cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, which are just around an hour and a half away. The hotel is built in a very quiet and picturesque location along the Dambulu Oya river. Our restaurant specialises in Sri Lankan and Asian fusion but can offer a wide range of other options. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms and in most common areas including around the outdoor pool. All rooms have patios where you can sit and relax and take in the nature after a busy day sightseeing. We give our staff one simple instruction which should be adhered to above all others, 'ensure that all guests have a wonderful stay.' Ask for help in organizing your travels or even any special dietary requirements. Special meals for kids are absolutely not a problem. ... more   less

“HOT TIP - I stayed in 6 hotels in Sri Lanka and only one (the most expensive one in Colombo) had anything more than a sheet or very thin table-cloth-like blanket on the bed! You may need to ask for something, even if you keep the AC down low! The first two nights I slept with my coat on!”
