This is a hotel with a service beyond and above! We were well catered for being pure veg, the staff checked in with us daily to ensure everything was OK! The grounds of the hotel are amazing and the views are brilliant and makes you feel close to Sri Lanka!

This is one stunning property surrounding the lake. It is vast, green and very clean. The staff members are friendly, ready to assist, and always greet you with a smile. We were very lucky, since it was our anniversary, we were upgraded to a luxury villa, and pampered by the staff members with a yummy cake :) The food is...

Really nice hotel and grounds with a lovely pool and nice spaces for relaxing. We stayed in 2 adjoining cabanas which were nicely laid out with everything we needed. The downside was the exorbitant costs for anything extra i.e. Food and drinks. We had read some other reviews that mentioned this before we arrived so took some nibbles which came...

Amaya Lake Resort at Dambulla was the first stop on our 10-day SL trip and is an ideal place to spend a lazy couple of days. The property is huge and well maintained. Finally understood the pleasure of walking here! There is plenty of greenery and walking up to the chirping of forest birds is such a joy. You could...

Good hotel, prob more family oriented than couples. On the lake, rooms are nice. Service, food are all great. Prices bit exy. Would be good if wifi was in rooms. Tv's need more English channels as well. Nice relaxed environment , unfortunately everything is an additional cost which is a shame . Even playing pool was charged .

Environment is beautiful, rooms are nice. You feel like you are middle of a nature reserve until you have to pay for something then you think you are in Geneva or Sydney which is unnecessary as I doubt they are paying Sydney rents, rates or wages.
