My daughter and I stayed at Sevana after arriving from Colombo by train and then heading to Galle. There's a lovely story to this property - it used to be the family home but has been thoughtfully converted with attractive contemporary features. Our rooms had a great outlook over the town and hills. And most attractions are in easy walking...

The hotel was well located, a short walk to Kandy Lake and the Temple of the Tooth Relic. It is on a busy road, you may need ear plugs if you're a light sleeper but we found that the noise of traffic died off by the time we were heading to bed anyway. The bathroom seemed new, good temperature and...

We stayed here for 1 night before heading out to Ella by train. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and even arranged a tuk tuk for the next day to take us to the Peradeniya train station to catch our train. The hotel is walking distance to most sites, activities and restaurants in Kandy.

We stayed here for one night before we embarked on our train trip to Ella. I booked a superior guest room, it was really clean with good quality linen A/C and a brand new fitted wetroom. We paid £37 for a night here and it exceeded my expectations, this is a great place to crash if you are looking for...

This hotel is not plush, it's a guest house run by a Sri Lankan family who also live here. However the location is superb for all the main attractions in Kandy, the rooms are clean, the en suite had a really good shower and there was a little seating area too. We booked a superior room with air con which...

This is a nice small guest house not far from city center. The signage of the hotel is not easy to find and the guest house door is inside the garage. You need to drive slowy and the next door is pharmacy Kumaran(?). As this guest house is at Kandy-Colombo Highway, but it is about 5-7 minutes walk to Clock...

I was very impressed with every aspect of this small hotel located in the heart of the city. The staff are all very professional and courteous. The rooms are very clean, with comfortable beds, quiet a/c, and abundant hot water. There was a choice of breakfast options, all served with delicious homemade marmalades (orange, pineapple and passion fruit). They arranged...

This hotel is a delight. Breakfast wonderful, home made jam yummy! Staff all very polite and welcoming, room had a fan, wasn't so large, hot water and a private roof top garden. Is within walking distance of the Queens Hotel, Temple of the Tooth, the Lake and en route are many restaurants to choose to eat from. Highly recommend this...

Sevana is a small, friendly well run hotel. Many Kandy guesthouses and hotels are located up a hillside, or a tuk-tuk ride from town, but the Sevana, on the street above the main post office, is just a few minutes walk from the bus and train stations or the city centre and the lake, First choice for value and convenience....

We stayed here for 3 nights in March and was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was, particularly the bathroom for the price. We chose to get AC but there was also a fan so maybe not necessary. Our room had a door our to a little garden which was really nice. The staff were very friendly and allowed...
