The rooms are simple but nice, including a balcony with view on the lake. The food they serve is nice and gets prepared by the one man who runs the complete place. Price is affordable, especially when you compare the place to surrounding places. Open for negociation! WiFi works fine in the rooms.

Located in a quiet area up a hill full of guesthouses, and within walkable distance of downtown Kandy. Although we had a reservation, they made us stay in another house closeby, with a lower standard and where the rooms cleanliness seemed to be of a lower concern. And from there we had very little interaction with the owners. Good thing...

This Place is okay, But that's it. For One Night it's okay and cheap, nur then it's really Time to leave. The Rooms are mouldy, but then Probably all of them are in this area, and they have a tuk tuk driver who will just not leave you alone when it comes to driving you around and charging you. The...

This place was clean and welcoming. If not exceptional. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a relatively low budget option close to town. The food on offer was okay, if not a little overpriced – I’d shop around if you have time. Logistically: call ahead to confirm your room, I arrived and the room I’d booked was taken with only...

This place was literally our last resort. All the other hotels were pretty full and this is at the VERY top of a very steep and long hill. The owner sensed this and made sure to charge us more than all the other places of the same quality. They said they had hot water, but when you turned it on,...

We stayed at the Lakshmi for 3 nights and had a ball. The staff were great, particularly when I came down with a cold (Heshan, the manager, surprised me with special tea, panadol and even cooked us a traditional dinner to help aid my recovery). Very clean, very helpful. I recommend doing a day trip with Rohan to visit the...

I found the standard of this guest house to be excellent for the price. The service and cleanliness were both great. I accidentally dropped the key down the plug hole and they didn't have a spare. They were so lovely to me in the event of this disaster- reassured me and insisted that I go and have breakfast while they...

The manager at this guest house was very helpful and answered all our questions and arranged good price trips for us. The rooms are basic but fairly priced when compared to other rooms I've stayed in in Sri Lanka. If I ever find myself back on Kandy I would stay here again.

Stayed in late November - Rooms were very reasonably priced at about 2500Rp+ for a double fan room with bathroom and mosquito net. Expect to pay a little more during peak season. Meals are cooked out on the balcony area and expect to pay about 600rp+ each for a nice curry main meal that is very filling as comes with...
