The main reason for my 5 stars is the fact that Mr. Nihal and team were so accommodating with our two labs. It's so difficult to find petfriendy accommodation in Sri Lanka. As for the location it was super quiet(even though it was vesak)apart from the...More

Thank you Mihiri - it was a pleasure having you both and of course your wonderful dogs.
We stayed for 4 nights with our teenage boys and we all really enjoyed our stay. Some highlights:
- The first morning, about 20 monkeys were passing by and noticed us in our cabana. They climbed onto the roof and peeked over the edge at...More

Very special destination in jungle setting. We stayed in a wooden treehouse style lodge surrounded by amazing wildlife. We did two treks, an easy through the local village and a medium in the Knuckle Mountains. Both were brilliant and both guides very knowledgeable and friendly....More

When is the rainy season for this part of the island? We are wanting to come in the early part of May. A little rain is fine but I'd like to avoid all-day downpours.
Also, how much of a problem are leeches? Are there ways to avoid them?

There are leeches around at this time but once the rain stops they will disappear. During rainy days we provide all our guests with leech socks and plenty of salt to keep them away. If it is raining then it is best to stay indoors and away from thick jungle.
Hope that answers all your quesitons.
