Our rooms were spacious and clean, the mosquito net worked well (and was needed, because of all the bugs at the lamps in front of our rooms). It was a little more expensive than our usual backpacker hotels/ guesthouses, but especially the beach part in front of the hotel was by far the best we had seen so far in...

We were staying nextdoor from IBIS guesthouse and booked a fish bbq there. This was unfortunately highly overpriced for the food and experience (big ceiled bag with our fish on the bbq). You get the whole bag on your plate, can open it yourself. It's barely seasoned and not enough food. Only time in Sri Lanka we were still hungry...

We visited tangalle in august, this guesthouse has a lovely location on the beach with numerous hammocks, beach beds and places to sit in a garden shaded by leafy trees. We stayed in one of the rooms above the main building, the room was clean and spacious with large four poster beds and places to sit outside the room overlooking...

We enjoyed our week long stay at IBIS. Excellent accommodation and very friendly and helpful staff. The location is right on the beach and away from the noise of traffic. It is an easy trip into Tangalle by tuk tuk or you can also walk on the road or beach and enjoy the seaview. I recommend this resort as the...

I stumbled across Ibis guesthouse on my second day in Tangelle and instantly fell in love with it. It's so well laid out, with beach front accommodation, cabanas, sun loungers, deckchairs and hammocks. The staff are friendly, but not over baring and they are happy to arrange travel for you whenever needed. The breakfast are lovely and fresh, and the...

I spent a few days here and it was almost perfect. Let's get the one moan out of the way. The WiFi wasn't working throughout the few days I was there (3 or 4, I can't remember exactly) and though it was always "Maybe tomorrow", it never happened and not a lot seemed to be being done about it. Next...

What makes this place so special is the location and the surroundings, with lovely sun beds, hammocks, shacks and chairs, where you can sit and relax. The beach is rocky but you can swim a llitle bit further. The food at the restaurant is good and the prices are better than the city, to eat at Ibis is the right...

Very overpriced guesthouse, you can find better for half the price with breakfast included. First room we got had a mouse in it that the owner had to kill.. Then we asked the next day for a room with AC because it was more isolated, so no more mouses but the AC did not really work and on top of...

Dear guests, it is almost impossible to stay in a bungalow, which is surrounded from many palm trees, flower bushes, only 60 m to the ocean and 150 m to the lagoon, without having a wild animal inside from time to time. And if you keep food in the room, of course a mouse like to come. You moved from...

Highly recommended, extended our stay twice. Well located at the broad white sand beach in the less busy area of Tangalle beach. Rooms are basic, but clean and equipped with fans and good mosquito nets over the comfortable beds. Warm water showers. Rooms get cleaned on request. Very relaxing with 4 big day beds, several hammocks between big palm trees...
