We stayed here in mid-April for 3 nights in a standard room on the ground floor (I believe it was room #101 or 102). It was a tiny tiny room, but turned out quite comfortable and a good choice for us. The area where the...More
We had a lovely time staying at the Hotel Palma Royale. Really tasty, free breakfast with a very friendly staff that greeted us with a smile each morning and always remembered us. The front desk staff is also extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and very friendly. They...More
Hotel is at the end of the main street, 2mins walk from the bars and Restaurants and the ferry terminal back to the mainland. The room was very clean and modern with everything you'd expect. Breakfast was spot on and so was the service. There...More

Bocas if pretty quiet. You can, however, walk across the street from the PR and there are water taxis and for a very nominal fee will take you to some great beaches. In the same location there are also tour companies. Also, the wonderful Front Desk personnel can assist you with all of this.
The room we had on the 3rd floor had a bdrm. with a double (as I recall) bed and there was another bed in the living room. It was perfect for two females.
You will need to fly to Panama City into the International Airport. You'll then need to get a cab to cross town (an hour or so, depending on time of day) to the domestic airport for the hour flight to Bocas.
We landed at 8:00a at the International airport and had a tour guide meet us. He was fabulous and showed us Panama (canal, Old Panama and other sights),and then took us to the domestic airport for our 4:00p flight to Bocas. It was a fun day!
We also spent the last night at an airport hotel in Panama City for our early-morning flight the next morning.
I hope you enjoy Bocas as much as we did!

Thank you for your answers Larry and April! No, we are located in Town on the Main Street within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. We are across the Street fromthe Sea, so you will get a sea view in most of our rooms. We recommend several nice beaches to visit during the day. Red Frog is about a 7 minute boat taxi and Bocas del Drago is about a 30 minute drive by land. They are 2 of the best options for swimming beaches.
