We stayed at Tesoro for six nights, from Dec. 27th until Jan. 2nd and really did not want to leave. The first four nights we were in room one, and the last two in the Dolphin Cabaña. Room one is in the main house, a little further from the waves (so they are not as loud) but with a nice...

My wife and I stayed in the Dolphin cabin at the end of Nov. The views are stunning and the breeze and waves crashing below make for wonderful sleeping! It's so great to be a little out of town with wonderful mostly deserted beaches. Monique is very friendly and accommodating. She seems to know like 4 languages so she can...

We stayed four nights in the Dolphin Cottage and were sorry to leave. We faced a lot of trade-offs when selecting lodgings in Bocas, but this place seemed to strike a great balance. The prices are very competitive, the location is perfect if you want to stay in a more remote part of the island, and there are plenty of...

I think, that Monique place - Tesoro Escondido - is the best place in Bocas Del Toro, Isla Colon - very beautiful ecological style house surrounded by tropical trees and flowers. Rooms and cabanas are very beautiful and price is also very reasonable. Tesoro Escondido has a nice private beach - nobody is around! This is a unique place for...

I had a really hard time choosing acommodation in Bocas - it seemed none of the places available were what we were looking for. I knew Bocas Town was not the place for us (and it really wasnt, I am sooo glad we didnt stay there) so I tried looking for alternatives. Bluff beach seemed like a good alternative but...

I think that before my trip I sent about 300 emails with Monique back and forth. She was so kind, patient and happy to answer any of my questions. I KNEW that it was the right place. I stayed in the Turtle Cabina for the first 7 nights and it was magical. The view was spectacular and I could fall...

Monique is an amazing women who can do it all! She is an amazing cook and what she has built is paradise. She will tell you that this place isn't for everyone so if you need a/c don't go. However, if you love to be Eco-friendly you'll love it. You can buy a jug of water from her so that...

Great, laid-back, eco-friendly, no frills lodge. Excellent food and friendly staff. $10 taxi ride to and from Bocas town (grab a block of ice and beer/snacks on your way to the lodge). Relax in a hammock, snorkel right next to Tesoro Escondido, swim at night (iridescent algae!), look for leatherback turtles on Playa Buff at night (bring a red light...

We flew into Bocas and stayed in town for two nights while we researched our other accommodation options. We decided to treat ourselves to one or two nights at Tesoro Escondido and it ended up being our "home base" for our whole trip. We fell in love with the accommodations, the people and this slightly more remote part of the...
