We arrived in Delhi with a prepaid voucher for a room at this hotel with free airport pickup. To be sure someone would be waiting for us, we exchanged e mails with the hotel, giving us our arrival information. Noone was at the airport and we had to take a taxi. Upon arrival, we were given a choice of two...

We are a family of 2 adults and a 12 year old child all from Australia and we found this hotel great value, clean, comfortable and a welcome quiet reprieve from the bustle of the city. Great location being 5 minutes walk from the metro and one stop from the city. We thoroughly recommend this hotel as a great mid...

After the nightmare journey from the airport I walked through the doors of Jyoti Mahal. From day one the owner Cheena and his team made me feel so at home. There were so many things that made this hotel so special, firstly I was told that I was to treat the hotel like my home. From the team in the...

This hotel is a little gem in what appears to be another unattractive Old Delhi street. It is an oasis of calm, good care and great food. I stayed twice on a recent trip, had a front room and a back room. The back rooms are much better. The stairs are great for the thighs! The little roof top restaurant...

There is a wonderful feel to this old worldly gem of a hotel/guest house. That is not to say it doesn't have mod con,s it does. The rooms are better at the back of the hotel, especially 315. However, there are no lifts, which may discourage some travellers. Best to deal directly with hotel to get best deal, especially if...

New Delhi has plenty of 5 Star hotels way over priced and plenty of holes in the wall for people perpared to live like an untouchable... But this hotel is by far the best in its range . I regularly take groups to India and will only stay at the Jyoti Mahal in New Delhi .

If you come driving down the street where the hotel is located and you are for the first time in India, then it just scare you. On the outside, the hotel is somewhat "shabby", but once inside it is bad. Your luggage is transported rapidly to the top and the formalities are completed fairly quickly. Indians excel at masking irregularities...
